A 12-year-old Georgia boy was left heartbroken after his therapy pig was allegedly killed by three ghoulish neighbors – who were found with the dead animal in aprons and gloves beside a boiling pot of water.
Garrett Cox, who has ADHD and autism, is now struggling to cope after Bootsy, his 400-pound emotional support pig, was savagely shot dead after wandering from her pen and off the family’s Hoschton property, about 50 miles northeast of Atlanta, last week, according to multiple reports.
“I miss her so much,” the young boy told WSB-TV about the award-winning pig, while clutching the ribbons they had won at livestock competitions.
His parents, Kerrie and Matt, told the outlet they rushed out to find Bootsy after she escaped – then heard a gunshot and followed the chilling sound to a nearby home.
That’s when they found three people in aprons and gloves standing next to the dead hog and a pot of scalding hot water, leaving the horrified parents convinced the trio were trying to butcher the pig for food.
“There was a rope with blood on it beside her body,” Matt said, adding that Bootsy had been tied up.
Kerri said she confronted one of the cruel suspects, asking, “Why would you do this? You knew she was our pig,” but said the maniac responded with laughter, the outlet reported.

There’s that.
Same here.
Where did you get that picture of our corgi, lol? It would not take much for a pig to be smarter than him. He would give Senator Patty Murray a run for her money in a stupidity contest. :)
“Why is the dead pig wearing an apron?”

Potstickers and rice noodles. Umm umm umm.
I have read something about mini-pigs as pets, but I doubt very many folks have 400 pounders for pets.
In that case, pig stealing in Alabama is probably a high crime and mister-meaner (check the Alabama legal dictionary for what a mister-meaner is).
Sorry, but the pig was on their property... Keep your dang animals on your property... that includes your dogs/cats/chickens.
Sorry if this offends (not sorry).
I guess it depends on who you are, where you live, and what you’re involved in.
I don’t think size or species are big deals to farming people. I remember a girl at a state fair who was devoted to her show alpaca; others devoted to their cows.
” his 400-pound emotional support pig”
Utter bullshit.
How is it possible for otherwise normal adults to give credence to such a thing.
Johnny Carson said this all the time. Back when Late Night TV was funny.
A few times every year, (every year!) I read about someone walking their dog, both owner and Fido, minding their own business, when, “out of nowhere”. some Pit Bull (often with a Buddy) comes tearing out of the shadows and lunges straight for the throat of this leashed dog.
If that Pit is the wandering dog I see and should he decide to attack my dog unprovoked, his ownership status won’t be my first concern. I will be looking for a branch, rock or something to use as a weapon to remove him from my dog.
Freakin VC in Atlanta.... sick
Most any kind of stealing is not condoned here in Alabama. But it is NOT stealing if the pig was on their property, it was negligence not to keep a 300 lb animal that for all mean around here is considered feral pest that destroys property.
The Hmong were not VC.
If the story is true, this was an autistic kid who worked with the animal to show it. There’s no telling what it may have meant to him or what he learned or the confidence he may have gained in that process.
Opps 400lb hog (not 300lb).
These in Atlanta were...
