President Trump said Sunday that increasing prices of oil are “a very small price to pay” for “safety and peace” amid the U.S. conflict with Iran.
“Short term oil prices, which will drop rapidly when the destruction of the Iran nuclear threat is over, is a very small price to pay for U.S.A., and World, Safety and Peace,” Trump said in a Sunday evening Truth Social post.
“ONLY FOOLS WOULD THINK DIFFERENTLY!” he added.
The U.S. conflict in Iran caused a recent surge in domestic oil and gas prices, with the U.S. national average for a gallon of regular gasoline going up by 14 percent between last week and Saturday, per data from AAA.
Iran has effectively closed off the Strait of Hormuz, the narrow maritime passageway that ushers roughly 20 percent of global oil supply from the Persian Gulf to the Indian Ocean and beyond.
Trump is mindful of economic concerns, as voters have consistently ranked affordability near the top of issues they face ahead of the midterms. The Treasury Department has said they will soon release plans to mitigate the rising energy costs.
West Texas Intermediate crude oil was more than $91 a barrel as of 4 p.m. EST Friday, rising $10 on that day. Brent crude — the international benchmark — rose $7 to $92 during the same time period.

Sure, tell voters that higher gas prices they’re paying right now is just “Kool-Aid.” Maybe Trump should post that on TRUTH Social, I’m sure it’ll go over well. Gas here for me rose 40¢ ($2.80 to $3.20) seemingly overnight since this started.

IDF Chief of Staff Lt. Gen. Eyal Zamir: “I can say here that the assessment is that we significantly damaged the nuclear program, and I can also say that we set it back by years, I repeat, years.”
You prefer to get nuked instead of Temorary higher gas prices. I get it. When mullahs say death to America, I believe them. You obviously don’t.

In the House, 30 incumbent Republicans are not seeking reelection vs. 21 democrats.
Add in much higher oil prices/gas prices (and higher inflation) if this lasts more than a month….well, I wont go there.
PDJT has the golden touch. I’m presuming Republicans win mid-terms. Maybe by only 2 House seats, but that is never-Trumpers infringing upon my thoughts.
You probably wouldn’t have read past Saddam having WMD being debatable in 2003, either. Or Iraqi soldiers ripping babies out of incubators in 1991. Or Gaddafi issuing Viagra to his soldiers in 2011.
Netanyahu has been hollering about Iran being on the verge of getting The Bomb since 1986, but simehow, in all those decades, they never did.
