To me, the biggest problem is this: no matter where we go, there we are. Why leave Earth? We won’t leave our problems behind. We ARE the problem, most of the time.
That’s AI, not Feynman, and I challenge you to find a reputable reference in which the real Feynman makes those same points.
I’ve seen other similar videos also from “Feynman Analysis” in which “Feynman” mentions space missions that didn’t occur until he’d been dead for 30 years.
You’ve been had.
“There was also the same “calculations” for the speed of sound with claims that the speed of sound could not be broken.”
This subject is way above your paygrade.
We have an example of one civilization that made it to space so far. Us. Using this one example to extrapolate why other civilizations couldn’t possibly reach us seems flawed. How do we know anyone has the same limitations when it comes to time? What if they live a million years? Or need such meager resources that it’s no problem to breed a million generations during the trip in a goldfish bowl or whatever? For all we know we are the mayflies of the galaxy and everyone else lives eons but have no drive to explore. Seems hard to imagine, but it’s all imagination when it comes to only having an example of one to go by.

“A.I. Feynman doesn’t count. Interstellar travel is absolutely possible, it will just take a long time and require a lot of energy. Decades at least to reach just the nearest stars. Fusion power using an asteroid-sized fuel tank of deuterium could do that, albeit very difficult but not impossible.”
Decades? ROTFLMAO!
But it could make colonizing the solar system possible. But i still dont think its feasible. Space isn’t empty, hitting some small particle at a million miles an hour.
Then, imagine the slowdown process to where you’re going...
Mid-20th century thinking. Feynman was a genius but he still wasn’t immune from his time and place.
Warp 9 won't cut it. Warp 10 is what's needed, it represents infinite velocity, where a vessel would exist at all points in the universe simultaneously.
And OBTW, I happen to agree with the sentiment in the video.
We’re never getting off this rock.
We might eventually colonize other planets in our solar system but from an energy standpoint even that isn’t (and never will be) cost-effective compared staying put and fixing whatever’s wrong with earth.
With the exception of when our sun expands as it burns out and envelops the planet, but that’s also the end of the solar system, so no one is surviving that.
“I calculate 2,879 years to get there at 1,000,000 mph. Still more time than I have to spare.”
If the instantaneous acceleration didn’t kill you the stop surely would.
“Because evolutionists said life evolved all across the universe”
Because you only read the anti-evolution websites you remain ignorant of what evolutionists really say.
Guess a rewrite of Star Trek is needed and the Enterprise has to be updated. Calling Scotty to the white phone ....
“Newtonian Laws are only applicable up to the speed of light. “
What does that mean?
“Spooky action at a distance exceeds the speed of light and will be the base for future faster than light endeavors.”
More nonsense from the uninformed.
WRONG
"Quantum physics points towards instantaneous transfer of information regardless of distance."
WRONG
Yeah, but then we all turn into weird lizard creatures.
“My guess is that coming up with a way to modify the gravity gradient “
There is no gravity gradient. There is no gravity.
interstellar travel is only impossible if you abide by the speed limit. i dont know many people that do that
“The idea that the speed of light is a barrier that is impossible to breach will be overcome some day”
The speed of light is not a barrier. It is a fundamental to the structure of the universe.
Lack of faith.
