Loaded P320, at least 1 loaded clip. There is only one logical reason he showed up on the scene with that mush ammo. He hoped to provoke ICE into shooting at him and/or so he could shoot at them. IMHO
has anyone checked his background? I mean, most ICU nurses don’t have the time or energy to get involved in such stuff.
So was he working part time? What shift did he work? Was he an RN? Who was he living with? Most ICU nurses make a nice salary, so he probably wasn’t doing it for the money,
but I hate to say this but a lot of male nurses are gay. So was he involved in leftist politics before this because of his sexual orientation? Roommate?
He worked for the VA: Did he have military background?
Just because you can do a thing doesn’t mean you should do that thing.
I carry a firearm and two spare magazines every time I leave the house. I studiously avoid trouble. I don’t go into sketchy areas, I am extra polite, and I keep my head on a swivel.
What I don’t do and would never do is insert myself into a physical altercation that wasn’t directly threatening me or those in my charge. Especially not if there were law enforcement officers involved.
If I genuinely believed the officers were doing something illegal I would probably pull out my phone and record the incident and then turn that over to the relevant authorities.
What I would NOT do is run at the already keyed up cops screaming my head off at them. Absolutely nothing good would come of that. In fact it’s hard for me to think of a better way to get, at a minimum, my ass kicked.
As others have said people who go looking for trouble very frequently find it.

Two magazines, including the one inside the firearm, are a normal load when carrying a semi auto. I even carry a second magazine for my pocket gun when I’m out and about.
Wife divorced him a few years ago, supposedly after he bought guns..
“Clip” or magazine? It’s magazine, you must not be familiar with firearms.
whats with the Rittenhouse comparisons i keep seeing. Completely different laws between open carrying a long rifle and conceal carrying a pistol. With a CCW, ANY contact with police , you have to tell them that you are armed. This guy didnt do that. Rittenhouse was attacked and legally defended himself. This idiot here was the attacker. You resist arrest and fight with cops and you are armed, i guarantee you are getting shot.
I remember when there weren’t moronic comments.
The stupidity of some comments now.
Lack of any logical or critical thinking ability was not present in the early Freeper community.
Tell me, spaz, are you saying Kyle Rittenhouse and this guy are analogous?
Possibly confrontational? He stupidly got up in their faces. He interfered. He resisted restraint. He confronted alright. These are not peaceful protests. As high as tension has been, he should have stayed back if he was armed. That was some poor judgement.
Wow, you have the antics talking points down perfect, almost exactly word for word with what others have posted on other social media.
Rittenhouse doesn’t even remotely compare to this guy. Rittenhouse wasn’t there to protest at all. He wasn’t even a counter protester when the incident occurred.
He was in town to protect a friend’s business from possibly being looted or vandalized by protesters. It wasn’t the center of protests, it was a private business lot where there should have been no anti-police activists and protests at all.
It was perfectly OK for Rittenhouse to shoot back when he was attacked.
It wasn’t the police he was shooting at, he wasn’t struggling with the police, and he wasn’t interfering in a police operation.
He is right. I’ve Ben to many, many rallies where I carried. However, the intent is what matters. My intent, show up in numbers, have lunch and go home. Pretty’s intent, was to show up and riot. Carrying is not the concern unless the intent is a concern.
Why ask questions like this? The second amendment means you can carry these things.
You posted a great reply. I am amazed at how looney some of this sites members are. It didn’t used to be like this.
It is one thing to carry a weapon to a peaceful rally, but it is stupid beyond belief to carry a weapon to a protest against law enforcement (ICE) where an interaction with them is not only likely but probably even the objective.
Which amendment says you get to interfere with law enforcement actions, resist and wrestle while armed?
“And why did he need to carry 60 bullets? (I read that somewhere.)”
I carry. I don’t keep a full magazine as the gun will stay loaded for years and I need the spring to work in the gun’s “magazine.” I’m certain 99% of Freepers would not call it a “clip.” The stats say three, three, three. The average defense shooting is at three feet, takes three seconds and uses three bullets. I carry six. But then again, I no longer go out at night. I never go to bad neighborhoods. I don’t use or deal drugs. My house is deep in the woods and well away from well-traveled roads. My exposure to crime is very, very low.
If I saw a bunch of green hair, nose ring wearers with signs, I’d go the other way. (I even avoid them in Publix.)
He was also carrying illegally. You must carry the permit and an ID when carrying. He was told, probably via Signal, to not carry any ID when attacking police.
“There is only one logical reason he showed up on the scene with that mush ammo.”
I haven’t read much about this. Was he licensed to open carry a weapon? If he was, good thought, wrong situation.
I’m short, he FAFO’d.
Not at all. Rittenhouse and the Lib are very different. Rittenhouse found himself in a bad situation. The Lib put himself in a bad situation.
Different.
My point however is on some of the statements from people like Kash Patel on where/when one can carry a firearm. There is nothing illegal about carrying a firearm to a protest.
Is it wise? Maybe not. Actually, probably not. But it is not illegal.
Maybe I am just too sensitive to anything that moves the 2A argument even an inch further down, because I know any movement is one way.
