Loaded P320, at least 1 loaded clip. There is only one logical reason he showed up on the scene with that mush ammo. He hoped to provoke ICE into shooting at him and/or so he could shoot at them. IMHO

My point however was some of the anti-2A messaging in the conservative space. For example, Kash Patel saying this: ‘You cannot bring a firearm, loaded, with multiple magazines, to any sort of protest that you want. It’s that simple.’
That is not true, and even though it can be stupid it is not illegal. Bringing a firearm to a protest can go really wrong, like in this case (and to bring Kyle Rittenhouse up again, he’s lucky no cop shot at him as he came running with a rifle), but it is not illegal. Same goes when it comes to the magazines one carries (or, to quote some of this thread, ‘clips’ or to quote Scott Bessent, ‘ carrying a gun and two cartridges’). We always like fun at Libs when they get gun nomenclature wrong. We should not be immune to that.
But in short, I fully agree with what you said. If I was a protest I probably would not be carrying a firearm out of an abundance of caution. However, if someone else was carrying a firearm (also likely out of an abundance of cautious), it would be part of his constitutional right.

I genuinely would not be surprised. In the coming days more info will come out. He could also likely have been in some sort of LARP/cosplay, with an expensively-kitted-out gun (many hombres walking around with firearms that cost way more than the money they’ve spent on proper firearms training) and thinking he’s in some sort of Marvel movie. Thanks for your kind response. I see your point about Kash Patel’s statement. It’s ambiguous. If he meant that you can’t *legally* bring your firearm to a protest, then he’s wrong about that. But if he just meant that, well, you can’t bring your firearm into a skirmish with armed federal agents and be surprised when there are consequences of your choices, then he’s right.

That may be somewhat true, in commie DC, but not everywhere (I don’t know all local laws on this). Perhaps you can shed some light on the subject. I live in a constitutional carry state, so I would be interested.
I agree the fellow shot had the right to carry his weapon with 3 mags (21 rounds)... Don’t know if they were all loaded, but why carry them if not loaded? Of course, what he didn’t have a right to was interfere with police business (obstruct their actions)... I have not watched all the video, don’t have time now, but did see one where he was in the middle of the street (obstructing).
P.S. Yes it is “magazine” not “clip”... it bugs me too.
