MINNEOLA, Fla. (CBS12) — A Florida home's front porch has become the site of a skeletal strip show, sparking a heated neighborhood debate.

ClickOrlando says the Minneola home's display, which features cigar smoking, beer drinking, and a skeleton on a pole, has rattled some neighbors.

A reporter visited the display and met with a neighbor who said the decor is all fun.

"I have two kids, and they like to see the skeletons dancing," said Gabreala, who lived next door. "No problem for us."

But on the neighborhood’s social media page, the risqué display stirred a cauldron of debate over whether it’s suitable for kids walking to school.

As if kids ever walk to school these days.

I have to admit I would likely laugh if I drove through that neighborhood and seen that, but I do have a twisted sense of humor. My wife can sometimes appreciate it, but just as often, rolls her eyes at me, or shoots me a poisonous glance!

For example, this sign was up the road from me:

I thought the story behind it was both hilarious and sad...

Apparently, the town at the next exit was planning for some future expansion of attractions in the town, they put up the sign on the highway in anticipation, but the economy went south, the town went down the tubes, and the attractions were never built.

So, for years, that blank blue sign with nothing on it except "Attractions - Exit 5" presented itself to curious drivers who wondered why the sign was there with nothing on it.

That's that sad part.

The hilarious part is some prankster saw the opportunity, created a stencil using sticky-backed reflective paper and stuck it on the sign.

I don't care who you are, that's pretty ingenious and funny!

It’s fascinating how Halloween has become such a prominent holiday. When I was a kid, it was just a fun dress-up day for kids, with trick-or-treating and lots of candy — a rare treat back in the day. Now it’s become a major production, as much (or more) for adults as for kids. Do kids even go trick-or-treating any more? Could Halloween overtake Christmas?

Yeah. That is insanity, IMO.

In my area, you get behind a bus, and they stop every 100 feet.

“Oh, they have to do it for safety because there are no sidewalks...” they piously say.

What a load of horse crap.

So pole dancing is a strip show, not the way I remember strip shows. Some people have no sense of humor and just have to be Karens.

Should have put some clothes on the spectators, and a garter on the dancer. Otherwise good.

We went trick or treating for 3 or 4 days. No fancy duds...just a Zorro Mask...

“Now it’s become a major production, as much (or more) for adults as for kids.”

My thoughts exactly. What I see now is adults using Halloween as a excuse to party, get drunk and for women to wear skimpy costumes.

When 6 foot tall male trick or treaters started showing up at the door with voices deeper than mine I was out.

If that’s the way of it now fine, I won’t be participating.
