California Gov. Gavin Newsom (D) struggled to respond after the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) trolled him on Saturday with a photo of a demonstrator in a giant penis costume at a “No Kings” protest.
The demonstrator in question, apparently at a rally in Portland, Oregon, held a sign that read: “Deport Deez Nuts.”
“Breaking: Gavin Newsom has shown up to the riot!” the DHS account added as a caption to the photo.
“You’re an embarrassment,” was all the governor could manage in reply, after months of trying to imitate President Donald Trump’s troll game on social media, a decidedly weak response that won few reposts.
Newsom and his staff have relished the idea that they have somehow matched Trump’s troll game by shadow-boxing him in one-sided callouts for the benefit of Democrats, who have cheered the governor’s brashness.
Saturday’s DHS post put Newsom in an difficult position, as it confronted him with the vulgar and absurd nature of the “No Kings” protest, which was marked by aging “gran-tifa” activists, often in odd costumes.
Newsom often exercises untrammeled executive authority in California, in excess of the supposedly “kingly” behavior of President Donald Trump. For example, Newsom banned group prayer during the coronavirus pandemic — not just in public, but in private homes (later overturned by the U.S. Supreme Court).

I don’t understand the point of the costume or the sign. I just like that DHS said it was Newscum and it turned out to be a direct hit.
It is blurred, I did it kind of as a joke, and kind of because I didn’t want somebody to jump all over me again right now… My battery will be recharged tomorrow and I can post the real picture then!
Republicans largely surrendered or left the field many decades ago.
They are the Uniparty after all, I think the general idea is Democrats f&@k everything up, Republicans make sure it stays that way.
Their role was to play designated Piñata, failure theater, mumble semi-conservative statements once in a while during fundraising season. But don’t say anything mean! That’s Not Who We Are!
It is not behavior I’d applaud from any president. But I am doubly disappointed in Trump because I expect better from him.
We may get an actual wiener (State Senator Scott Wiener) to succeed Greaseball Gavin as governor.
I suspect the guy wearing the costume was already at the protest. The sign was just photoshopped in to annoy Newscum which it did.

to aid your understanding a little context might help.
The protests at the Portland ICE Federal building have been in process for 4 months now. Recently, the known and habitual protesters have shown up in inflatable animal costumes. Not all of course but way more than one might expect.
Still more recently the costumed protesters have begun dancing to attract the video attention. I will guess that perhaps as many as 60 % of those non habitual’s present at night use their phones to make videos. That’s what they do, take “I was there pictures”.
It has been speculated that the inflatable costumes deflect the ICE pepper spray bullets so they don’t have to back up away from the advancing ICE agents who clear the street to allow vehicle access.
So, the inflatable penis delivers two messages. It ridicules the protesters in inflatable costumes and the devistating message on the sign.

This was taken at the French Laundry right after Newsom had closed down all restaurants in California - when caught here, he lied and said they were eating outside, clearly they are inside
He also enrolled his kids in an exclusive private in-seat school after he closed down California’s school, irreparably harming many students putting them years behind.
Newsom is an egotistical, self-important megalomaniac who is a prime example of “law for thee but not for me.”
