The US Chamber of Commerce is reportedly considering to file a lawsuit against the Trump administration after announcing a $100,000 annual fee on H-1B visa. The move has sparked concerns among Indian and other foreign nationals working in the US economy that relies heavily on H-1B visa. According to a Bloomberg report, officials with the country’s largest business lobby polled member companies to test support for a lawsuit. The report cites people familiar with the conversations who, on the condition of anonymity, said that the group sought feedback from corporations on potential litigation during a series of phone calls and Zoom meetings.

Chamber spokesperson Matt Letourneau said in a statement that the group is “examining the legal basis for the proclamation.”

The “U.S. Chamber of Commerce” putting foreigners first and Americans last.
“examining the legal basis for the proclamation.”
In other words, they have not found any legal basis for the proclamation. But they went ahead and made it anyway.
____Huh? I thought that the 100K H1-B was a one-shot application fee, not an annual “tax”. Fees can be set by the Executive, taxes must come from Congress.____
Trump is calling it annual fee. Not a “tax.”
The "Chamber of Commerce" putting MONEY first!
The $100,000 fee is a one-time fee, not a yearly tax, and applies to employers filing for new H-1B petitions on or after September 21, 2025. This fee does not apply to existing H-1B visa holders or to the renewal or extension of current visas.
The US Chamber of Commerce and Club For Growth are lying open borders swine.
US Chamber of Slavery. A. Globalist organization.
If I see the Chamber of Commerce sticker at a business I turn around and walk.
Not sure why a private company thinks it has the right to decide who is allowed to come to America.
Chamber of Cheap labor can go f themselves.
The Chamber bribed congressmen. The problem is they don’t stay bribed.
fees in my proposal
a. $2,000 per bid fee [to deter bogus/duplicate bids & prevent auction system denial of service], plus
b. a winner fee of 10% of the bid salary, or $8,000, whichever is higher [to compensate for reduced domestic search costs],
c. an annual inverse salary fee of 10% of the salary amount less than $200,000 plus 20% of the salary amount less than $120,000 [to help ensure the program is only used to supply highly skilled people], plus
d. a payroll health coverage cost savings fee of $6 per week per year of age under age 65 [so highly experienced Americans not replaced by cheap, healthy young foreigners]
the US Chamber of Commerce is the ultimate globalist organization whose primary purpose is to assure a plentiful supply of cheap labor to exploit ...
It is. It’s all Kabuki theater to make us think this H1B visa EO will do anything. It’s not gonna stop crap and is a total bait and switch.
Genius. Annoy the President on this and he can reduce the overall number, require much more strict and time-consuming background or take any number of other steps.
Kill H-1b . There is no fixing it.
I don't know the answer to that. If it does, Trump is right. If it doesn't, the Chamber would be.
How about we have plenty of skilled workers here and we just end H1B entirely.
I like that better.

All the evidence says it’s already working. I would prefer the fee was annual but it is a good start.
