Huh? I thought that the 100K H1-B was a one-shot application fee, not an annual “tax”. Fees can be set by the Executive, taxes must come from Congress.

The $100,000 fee is a one-time fee, not a yearly tax, and applies to employers filing for new H-1B petitions on or after September 21, 2025. This fee does not apply to existing H-1B visa holders or to the renewal or extension of current visas.
The US Chamber of Commerce and Club For Growth are lying open borders swine.

It is. It’s all Kabuki theater to make us think this H1B visa EO will do anything. It’s not gonna stop crap and is a total bait and switch.
