FBI Director Kash Patel says investigators have found DNA evidence linking alleged Charlie Kirk assassin Tyler Robinson to the scene of last week's shooting.
Patel made the statement during a Monday morning appearance on "Fox & Friends," saying the suspect's DNA was found on a screwdriver as well as a towel that was wrapped around the firearm believed to have been used in the shooting.
"I can report today that the DNA hits from the towel that was wrapped around the firearm and the DNA on the screwdriver are positively processed for the suspect in custody," Patel said.
Authorities say Robinson jumped off of a roof before fleeing Utah Valley University's campus moments after the shooting. They say he then ran through a patch of woods into a nearby neighborhood, leaving the towel-wrapped firearm in the woods.
Robinson is currently under "special watch" with authorities in Utah. Police say he has not been cooperating during interviews.

That doesn't appear to be the case. Video clips show he was still wearing full length dark apparel he when left the roof. There are video snapshots of him wandering around campus in a tee shirt and shorts earlier in the day. He was apprehended wearing what appeared to be the same shorts and tee shirt.
He never went somewhere else to retrieve the rifle, and the rifle was not visible as he was walking away. The approximate length of that rifle was about 44 inches in length. It was not spotted in either a horizontal nor a vertical position. It was not seen at all, yet the backpack was seen.
If they have an enhanced picture, they have not shared that picture. With what can be seen and not seen speculation is fueled.
Note: I am not saying that he did not have the rifle with him, I am saying that I and others have not seen him carrying a rifle. So, how did the rifle end up in the woods that he directly went towards after leaving the roof. Also it's rather strange that he posted where the rifle was located. Did he really expect that someone was going to go there to retrieve it, or was he exposing where the rifle was located in order for it to be located & recovered?
So, as you can see your explanation doesn't hold up to the facts that are known.
I have come up with yet another possibility however, and that is, the shooter lowered the actual rifle used down to a window to someone else, and that person then stashed it in the ceiling of the room, if that room had one of those drop ceilings. Have they bothered to examine all of those rooms where that scenario could have been employed? I have not heard of such an investigation for that possibility.
However, that would still mean that the rifle was stashed early in the woods, was meant to be found that would implicate his involvement, but not him being the shooter.
I am just trying to alert that there are reasons to question the narrative being reported, because it does have holes, and these holes need to be plugged up with proof.
When you leave holes, then you open opportunities for the defense to use to seed doubts.
That doesn't seem to be the case, but yes it was reported that he changed all of his clothes on the roof before descending from the roof. Okay, I admit that I added the verbiage stating the reason he changed clothes providing his reason for doing so. That was just be adding deductive reasoning, because they do not show him in the previous clothing. It could be that the rocks on the roof was the reason he had changed his cloths.
Furthermore, I must admit that I have never seen the alternative clothes that he wore.
Perhaps you will provide those pictures?
Hey, good manners don't cost nothin' do they, Ey?
Just asking you to defend your statement, which you did, but I don't believe everything I read on the internet.
Those pictures weren't released until this morning. It took some time to figure out that the assassin wearing all dark clothing was the same person wearing shorts and a tee shirt earlier in the day..
He got up after jumping to the ground, leans over scooped up his backpack, and began following his predetermined escape route from having visited the site twice in previous days, that was reported to the FBI that someone was seen on the roof of the building, and the FBI never investigated. Perhaps they thought it was maintenance on a maintenance check.
Yes, I have most certainly thought that people have probably not followed this as closely as I or others have. Which is why I have been respectful when answering the barrage of responses.
If you think I was offensive, point them out. I may have asked one to respect others who see a different picture than what we are being told, but even that I did in a respectful manner. Because I also understand that their are people who just accept what they are being told, and never question what they are being told.
That should have been abandoned as the revelations have come out that we have been lied to on a numerous issues.
I don’t know that he’ll fight it, he probably wants to make a deal to keep the death sentence off.
Again, I have never seen those pictures to this day. Apparently you have so, will you provide them?
Disagree.
Remember ... we also obtained videos of a man who matches the official description of Robinson walking towards campus in his all-black ensemble just shy of noon Wednesday -- minutes before the FBI said he entered the Utah Valley University campus to allegedly carry out the attack.
He's walking the same path in both clips ... seemingly nailing down his plan of action earlier in the morning.
They do indeed look like Tyler. M
Now if you do a search you can see references that he changed all of his clothes on the roof. This photo seems to show him 1 minute before he was supposedly shot at 12 noon exactly, as they reported. Of course that reported time may be off in a + or - time difference, or the time on the photo for that manner.
It does confirm, that he did change clothes, but puts into question when that change actually occurred. But again, I am only going by the facts that have been tols to us.
The pictures were just released this morning. I tried finding the video replay, but didn’t. I think it is likely this info will be released when formal state charges are made tomorrow.
This is a weird case. The alleged assassin left finger prints and DNA all over the place suggesting he was willing to die. It appears to me after he took a successful shot he changed his mind and decided to escape.
It suggests to me that he was mentally ill.
I think he'd win. The Woke are clearly insane.
Ditto. My guess is the shooter was expecting to die on the roof top but changed his mind after making the successful kill shot
“On the roof, prior to the shooting, would not be a normal place to make an adjustment.”
With a screwdriver yes, high end long distance scopes have turrets on both the elevation and windage specificity for adjusting the point of impact at the firing line. They are either 1/4 MOA or the best ones are 1/8 MOA adjustments. It’s called “dialing the dope”
Military guys shoot mils and use mildots with 1/4 mils being the gold standard you set the zero at 500 or 1000 meters and then use the mildots in the scope for the range and wind holds. No adjustment at the line unless the atmospherics have changed enough from your initial zero to warrant dialing in some dope to bring it back to the expected zero point.
This is a good example of what a military grade shooter would be looking though they make solid equipment. That makes the one mile club easy to join. Shot out.....ding! First shot cold barrel club.

The Mauser 98 action with scope attached can be removed by unscrewing the two screwed under the mag well and trigger guard. You remove the bolt first which is a 5 second task no tools needed it slides back and off. Then two screws and the action parts way with the stock taking the scope that is drilled and attached to the top of the action with it so you don’t lose your zero. He could have had it in the back back in two pieces and screwed it together on the roof hence the screwdriver. In his hurry to leave he just three the rifle down you can see a long object being dropped off the roof. So the most logical conclusion is it was in the backpack in two parts he put the two screws in it an joined the action to the stock using the DNA screwdriver thats how it got up there. I just looked my M98 has hex heads but they could just as easy be flat heads. Remember this rifle is not on a wood stock it has an aftermarket polymer stock on it so the barrel is free floating no forward band holding it only two screws.
This is a 6 min takedown of a older harder to do wooden stock notice how easy the bolt and two screws come out and how quickly the parts separate. Totally easy for someone to watch this video and then take apart and put back together it’s two screws the M98 action from the stock especially a polymer one mine is on an Archangel stock two hex heads and 45 seconds and it is in two pieces which is how it flies for hunting trips the zero never moves the scope is solidly attached to the action not the stock under it.

Wiping doesn’t remove DNA it smears it all over only chemicals like bleach or hydrogen peroxide can neutralize DNA. If he sweat on the rifle butt with his cheek weld his DNA will be there wiped or not. He could have worn gloves but at some point he would have handled that weapon bare handed so DNA should be somewhere on it. Same for the casings if he engraved those by his hand and didn’t wear gloves just wiping the prints off is not enough. You need to use bleach or some other solvent or acid.
RE: alleged Charlie Kirk assassin
When will the word “alleged” be taken away?
Or will it be forever be part of the word, assassin when it comes to Tyler Robinson?
