A quarrel over a woman at a popular Hamptons bar turned bloody earlier this month when a man stabbed his friend in a fit of rage, according to sources and a report.

Two pals who work at Southampton restaurants were drinking after their shift at local watering hole Fellingham’s at around 1 a.m. on Aug. 18 when they began to argue over a woman that was part of their group, according to sources.

The pair started screaming at each other, fists flew, and then one man pulled out a knife and stabbed his friend several times in the stomach, according to the Southampton Village Police, East27 reported.

The victim was rushed via medevac helicopter to Stony Brook University and was last reported to be in stable condition, according to the outlet.

The suspect fled the scene and is still on the loose, according to authorities.

Ikkyu's great love was Lady Mori.

She was a blind masseuse.

As a monk, he found her company to be among his greatest enjoyments of life.

Their liaison was thought to be very naughty at the time. Many of his haiku are in response to her physical ministrations during their sojourns together.

Ikkyu is my favourite of the classic Japanese Zen poets.

“Sentient beings can get completely lost in it”: the erotic poems of Ikkyū

"A woman is enlightenment when you’re with her and the red thread of both your passions flares inside you – and you see.

Sounds like your friend received the gift of a lifetime: the drumset of his beloved drummer. Arigato gozai mashita!

Ikkyu had the kind of face only a dog could love. Perhaps it’s best that his lover was blind :- )

Fighting over a woman? that is almost Biblical—what better reason to fight to the death?

If you are home next Sunday evening , and like The Beatles , my friend’s band - Beitlet - is playing at a club in Fukuoka called Cavern Club which is celebrating its 13th Anniversary . They’ll be broadcasting LIVE on Youtube . Morita won’t be playing his own drums , though . Check it out 1

Appearances are illusory and transitory. Ikkyu looked like a dog, but he was a Lion of the dharma. That happens a lot in various lineages of the Buddha Dharma. Look up Drukpa Kunley, the great siddha of Bhuthan.

Thanks, Candor7.  Will check this Drukpa Kunley guy out.

I'm a big fan of Amazon Kindle.  It's terrific because you can download a generous free sample of ANY book you are interested in buying.

It's ideal for a guy like me living in a foreign country.  Nine time out of 10, I just read the sample.  Usually it's a good read, but investing the time to read the full book is not worth it to me.

Just the other day I downloaded a sample of J.D. Vance's book, Hillbilly Elegy.  I got a fine education merely reading the sample, and someday I may buy the book.

I bought an Amazon Fire tablet 7 inch, 12th generation, which is the perfect size to fit in your hand.  You can find them on eBay for less than $50.  Such a deal.  Pay a bit more to ship it overseas.  Make sure to buy this 12th generation version because it's faster and the battery lasts a long time.

I've also downloaded quite a few Pickleball training videos to the tablet so I can watch those on the train or whenever I have free time.

One other thing: if you like old books from famous authors, Amazon has a "Send it to Kindle" site where you can drag and drop Kindle-formatted books from free sites like gutenberg.org.  In a matter of minutes you can read those books on your tablet no matter where you live.
