One of my struggles as a self-declared decent person is the tug between my intellectual abhorrence of Islam and my response at a personal level when I see Muslim women walking about with their hair hidden under hijabs. I would never insult or belittle such women to their faces, and I would treat them with courtesy and respect.
But I can’t help but think that at some point, there might be so many hijabs walking around that we stand in real danger of being forced to submit to sharia law. We would have to look the other way as Islam’s indignities are visited upon women, gays, Christians, and Jews.
Those were my thoughts yesterday at the supermarket. A mother and her preteen daughter, both wearing very handsome hijabs, were shopping there. The daughter was chattering happily to her mom, who was very attentive to the girl. In all, it was a sweet scene of familial love and affection. Only the hardest of hearts could disparage it.
But immediately accompanying those benign thoughts were images of what’s happening in Europe and the U.K., and what is now happening in isolated spots (Hamtramck) in the U.S.: Muslim immigrants who see no need to assimilate into the Western cultures they actually despise and whose laws they refuse to recognize or obey.
(They are not like the Amish, another religious sect, who once chose to disobey certain “English” laws such as compulsory public education but did not resist them in a violent or contemptuous manner.)
Then my mind reeled back to Jefferson’s statement about a fundamental aspect of the American belief in freedom of religion: “But it does me no injury for my neighbor to say there are twenty gods, or no god. It neither picks my pocket nor breaks my leg.”

They barely tolerate them initially and have a surface civility but you can sense underneath, especially the men, a rage and hostility smoldering under the surface.
Is this author doing some clever predictive programming in a thin attempt to normalize islam (they’re just like us) and to compel us to accept the abuse upon women, or is he just sharing warm fuzzy observations?

Stupid statement. iSlime is a military strategy to destroy all who disagree. This "sweet looking" mother/daughter duo will applaud the crucifixions of all who disagree with their plans to rule the world via sharia law.

Correct, instead they demand the infidels be assimilated. Once they reach a certain percentage of the population they start making demands and if they don’t get them the terrorism starts. That’s how it is with a religion that celebrates raping, killing and torturing a thousand non-combatants attending a music festival.
The First Amendment is the legal issue. It is being used to allow Islam to take over. This has to be addressed. We still have tome. Western Europe does not.
Jefferson dealt with the Barbary Pirates. who were moslems, but he and Americans at the time had no experience with living among them. He could not have known the absolute destruction and evil they could bring to a civilization like ours.
How about the dresses Amish women wear? Or yarmulkes? Or Tattoos?

I think you may want to rethink your answer. Pretty sure Jefferson was concerned with the Barbary Pirates and their theft even before he became president.
Maybe that's because Orthodox Jews don't move in, outbreed, and take over places under threat of death like muslims do.
Jefferson put ships in the Med to attempt to restrain the pirates, but it was Madison under which the Barbary wars finally put an end to it.
He could have done more, in fact Congress was willing to let him do more, but he restrained from expanding his executive power to do so.

I think a very good argument can be made to justify outlawing Islam in the US. And we need to start making it immediately. Islam is a conquering ideology that treats other religions violently. It simply cannot be tolerated in a civilized society.

My first thought goes to the horrible image re: what would happen to those two lovely females... should they dare to do anything that the husband in that household deems “dishonorable”. They both could end up murdered in an “honor killing”, which is perfectly acceptable in ‘their religion’. Which makes those two females essentially slaves... to be dealt with as their master, the husband and father in that Muslim household, so chooses. And it is the same with anyone that chooses Satan as their master.
