The health of U.S. children has deteriorated over the past 17 years, with kids today more likely to have obesity, chronic diseases and mental health problems like depression, a new study says.
Much of what researchers found was already known, but the study paints a comprehensive picture by examining various aspects of children’s physical and mental health at the same time.
“The surprising part of the study wasn’t any with any single statistic; it was that there’s 170 indicators, eight data sources, all showing the same thing: a generalized decline in kids’ health,” said Dr. Christopher Forrest, one of the authors of the study published Monday in the Journal of the American Medical Association.
Health Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. has brought children’s health to the forefront of the national policy conversation, unveiling in May a much-anticipated “Make America Healthy Again” report that described kids as undernourished and overmedicated, and raised concerns about their lack of physical activity. …

All part of the globalist plan.
Yup.
Most of us here know why. We’ve discussed it ad nauseum, no one will stop because they want them this way.

We lived outside
Thank u lord
Iot used to be that if we wanted to contact someone, we’d bicycle to their house, or walk, and sse them inperson, and hang out together, usual,y riding bikes, runni g around, building forts, hiking etc. Today the kids just phone the person, and continue sitting on the couch playing games or in front of computer. Very little outdoor activity for, many kids these days.
We couldn’t wait to get our homework done o we could run off to be with our friends till dinnertime, then off again after dinner. We always had something going. My nephews and neices today though never eat to go anywhere, do anything- they are too afraid they will miss an email, or text message if they, gasp... leave their phone at home.
Me and my brother and sister all have fast metabolisms- hardly any extra weight or fat. We can still eat ehatmwe want and not gain too much weight. All trim. and I’m wondering if it’s because we ate right and played hard as kids? A lot of kids today are overweight, and “too tired” to do anything like ride bikes.
Well, that and the fact there’s commercials on late at night for burgers, pizza, chicken wings and fast food places available everywhere.
She said it would rot our minds.
She was right.
Well, maybe if you stopped inoculating them with 40 vaccines, they wouldn’t be unhealthy.
We need to cut off the electronics.
Another useless waste of money on something that is blindingly obvious.
Just a bunch of fat slobs with big stretched out earlobes, purple hair, and a counselor so they can talk about their feelings on speed dial.
When a significant section of our society—liberals, who BTW control our educational institutions—are bat guano crazy, it's going to affect the entire population.
I was born in 1970. Growing up we played outside. But I also saw the rise of electronics slowly eat away at my friends. They didn’t want to play football any longer, go fishing at the creek and kill snakes all that good boy stuff. Mid to late 80’s is when society just started to suck.
Did we really need a study? Just LOOK at them!
The movie Idiocracy is a view into the future of our country.
“We lived outside”
Same age...born in rural Iowa. By age six we could tell anyone what dirt was the best to eat.
It was indeed quite different when we were kids. And yes, we were all quite active, and outside constantly. The exception for me was an hour or so of TV on Saturday morning, watching Warner Bros. cartoons. Aside from that it was out ‘riding bikes’, exploring, building stuff, getting into some trouble, football, baseball, etc. The ‘riding bikes’ thing was huge: Call up a friend, “You want to go ride bikes?” This could result in either building a jump in someone’s driveway, or a ten-mile adventure to the other side of town, or anything in between. All the while talking and building friendships. I had a 5 speed Stingray. Life was good. (b. ‘61)
It’s surprising the AP allowed this story to run.
Well, the Democrat solution would probably be to outlaw white people being fat.
They are also becoming more stupid.
