Elon Musk, the world’s richest man, on Monday said he would back challengers to members of Congress who vote for President Donald Trump's "big, beautiful bill."

Musk broke his short-lived X silence about the bill over the weekend, unloading on it for being “utterly insane.” On Monday, Musk criticized “every member of Congress who campaigned on reducing government spending and then immediately voted for the biggest debt increase in history,” vowing that “they will lose their primary next year if it is the last thing I do on this Earth.”

Musk does have a good point. He’s made a lot of them, like discovering there are more people on Medicare than live in the United States.

I’m not a big fan of the BBB, but also know that politics is not a business. Too bad.

ELON is an ungrateful Billionaire who’s lost his credibility with MAGAdonians.

He is right though. There needs to be new party. Both the Dem and ‘Pubbie’ are too entwined with each other.

“ ELON is an ungrateful Billionaire who’s lost his credibility with MAGAdonians.”

He gave up quite a bit getting involved .
Lost probably hundreds of millions of net worth to help .
And now the bill raises the debt way too much

3 party systems do not work. Kick out the RINOS.

Elon, don’t flatter yourself. Yes, you have lots of money, but President DJT has the Justice Department. Nice business you got there Pal, be too bad if something were to happen to it.

biggest debt increase in history...Debt limit increases

Spending money we don’t have on things we don’t need is increasing the debt. The “Limit” is window dressing.

Every spending in the Senate bill that is not in the House bill should be removed.

Geez. I’ve never seen a guy go this fast from hero to villain in a Hollywood movie.

Musk is entitled to his opinion.

I just ignore the drama.

ELON is an ungrateful Billionaire who’s lost his credibility with MAGAdonians.

There is one jewel he does not have. It costs everything one has and yet it is free.

Matthew 13:

[45] Again, the kingdom of heaven is like unto a merchant man,
seeking goodly pearls:
[46] Who, when he had found one pearl of great price,
went and sold all that he had, and bought it.

Agreed!

Wondering why there is so much Musk hate on this site? Everything Musk identified and we voted for has been put back in by the Senate. Wondering why so many other posters here are against that?

Agreeing that Johnson is spineless, but I think it’s John Thune who is at fault in this case. The parliamentarian seems to be controlling him and the rest of the Senate in how they vote, even though her role is supposed to be simply “advisory”.

We finally have the majority and are stuck with this bunch of spineless wimps. Except for Rand Paul, of course

Elon’s a smart guy. A well-funded third party MIGHT be a useful vehicle for a single candidate who wants to work around the system or at a single state level. as a productive force for Congress?

We may need a "MAGA" party. We have Mitt Romneys and Paul Ryans in the GOP.

It wouldn't be a bad thing if a new party would actually emerge. Many of us are only voting red because of Trump.
