Independence From Meat Day is observed all across the world on July 4. As you might have noticed, more and more people across the world are choosing vegetarian and vegan lifestyles. This is because both lifestyles promise increased health benefits by limiting meat from our diets. There are a few moral and environmental implications of these lifestyles too. Somebody tell Chucky that A CHEESEBURGER IS NOT KOSHER!!!!
As a vascular surgeon, let me humbly admit that we have all been fed lies regarding animal fats and cholesterol. Atherosclerosis is an inflammatory condition caused mainly by carbohydrates (via hyperglycemia and insulin resistance), seed oils and smoking. The cardiology societies have admitted this, stating that dietary intake of animal fats and cholesterol are not a significant factor in atherosclerosis. But, change takes time especially with the old guard. 1.5 years on the carnivore diet, BTW.
I didn’t mean to imply that Tibetan monks don’t meat, just that most of man, no matter who they were, or where they were, would not be able to get adequate nutrition without animal products in their diets.
Well, that is certainly true! :)
While too much meat in the diet in a tropical climate can lead to digestive issues it is almost essential for health in temperate, sub-arctic and arctic climes. The colder the climate the more it is needed and high altitudes are colder regardless of latitude as well.
Some Italian sausage from the local butcher is on the menu.
Grilled pepper and onions, too.
And there’s distinct possibility that a 1-1/2 inch thick Porterhouse will fall into the cart.

Hmm...is it OK to eat Vegans? I mean, grass-fed cow is pretty good. Just sayin’...
When Hell becomes a Frigidaire dealership!
It’s hard to wrap your head around such an absurd assertion.
“Independence from meat day”...being JULY 4th!!!!?!?!?
First, never heard of it.
Second, it’s the LAST day I’d ever do it...more like the opposite.
Third, provide some substantive evidence that people “all over the world” are trending in this direction.
Forth, the assertion of “healthier” is not supported by data. If anything, some claim the carnivore diet has eliminated many of their health problems. A lady (forget the name) died of only eating raw veggies.
How many lies can one string together?
We weren’t.
Nice.
Your dogs are gorgeous! How old are they?
We’re going to celebrate that day with 2 racks of beef ribs, 2 racks of pork baby back ribs, and about 2 dozen wings.
The German Shepherd is 11 YO and the Belgian is 1 1/2 YO.
I am not sure how to Kosher a person! Kosher Ex-Lax and live outside of the city until the end of Chuck's next period??
Well, not my problem!
