I didn’t mean to imply that Tibetan monks don’t meat, just that most of man, no matter who they were, or where they were,would not be able to get adequate nutrition without animal products in their diets.
Well, that is certainly true! :)
While too much meat in the diet in a tropical climate can lead to digestive issues it is almost essential for health in temperate, sub-arctic and arctic climes. The colder the climate the more it is needed and high altitudes are colder regardless of latitude as well.
