When people think of American commerce, they think of New York. And when people think of American Jewish culture, they also think of New York, which has the largest Jewish community of any city in the world outside of Israel. But if the polls are correct, New York may soon have a mayor who is an avowed Marxist and an antisemite. (And yes, I equate anti-Zionism directly with antisemitism.)

His election would cause an additional and massive spike in the exodus of businesses, people and wealth from New York. His programs will hit the remaining people and enterprises of New York harder, with less people and capital to get higher tax revenue from.
NYers deserve every inch of this guy.

The simple fact of the matter is that without Jewish support, this guy Mamdani would have no chance at all. Liberal Jews exemplify the self-loathing that is a hallmark of Western leftism.
I used to go to the city frequently. Loved going the museums and seeing plays. One day there were two homeless people having sex on the sidewalk. I'm not sure if the woman was even alive, she wasn't moving. People just walked around them, not raising an eyebrow. No reason to go back - too dirty, too many foreigners.
Both LA and NYC are leaders of the City State coalition that permitted control of the whole states of California and NYC. Prior to the presence of Donald Trump, the coalition of city states controlled enough states to effectively control the whole of America. They owned the popular vote.
The prospect of the whole coalition falling apart is not only real but increasingly reality. Maximum effort and maximum ideology at the top may be necessary to maintain a grip.
If you can't be bothered to vote, you really do deserve the the government you get.
The muslim sleeper cells in NYC are smiling. I can see a day in the not so distant future when the democrat party will formerly be at war with America. We’re pretty close.
If Los Angeles can vote for a Cuban Marxist, then I see no reason why New York can’t vote for a Muslim Marxist.
If I were the mayor of Miami FL I’d be preparing infrastructure to welcome the New York Stock Exchange to town.
