"The White House and some Republicans in Congress have accused NPR of promoting a liberal bias. How do you respond?"
NPR CEO Katherine Maher: "We're a nonpartisan news organization. We do not seek to favor any political party at all."
Does anyone actually believe this???
Southern Poverty Law Center and the Spartan League, too.
She proves they are partisan and liar news organization.
Their call sign needs to be NBP nothing but partisan.
The first step in correcting a problem is to admit to it. So clearly there is no hope for NPR. The legacy media used the same denial for decades, now they flaunt their leftist activism.
Has she even listened to her own broadcasts? But this is double talk. They don’t favor any political party, but they do favor a political ideology that’s to the left of Bella Abzug.
Their staff was said to consist of eighty-some registered Democrats and zero registered Republicans. Does not sound nonpartisan to me!
Marshmallows are not a health food? Dan. Now I have to rethink my entire food plan!
Thanks for clarifying that. I had no idea.
Here’s the (almost) exact quote, which she said lauding the way Wikipedia editors censor dissenting views: “…seeking the truth and seeking to convince others of the truth might not be the right place to start,” Maher said during the TED Talk. “In fact, our reverence for the truth might be a distraction that’s getting in the way of finding common ground and getting things done.”

This is exactly what’s wrong with politics and political coverage in the USA and most other countries. Truth is an inconvenience for those who think they know (feel) better than everyone else. It’s a justification for authoritarianism. ‘Nevermind what’s true, my way is just better’.
