President Trump in a new post on Truth Social on Sunday night accused Russian President Vladimir Putin of having gone “absolutely” crazy and said if he did not stop what he was doing, it would lead to the downfall of his country.
The social media comments came after Trump had issued some of his toughest comments about Putin earlier in remarks to reporters in New Jersey.
“I’ve always had a very good relationship with Vladimir Putin of Russia, but something has happened to him. He has gone absolutely CRAZY!,” Trump wrote.
“He is needlessly killing a lot of people, and I’m not just talking about soldiers. Missiles and drones are being shot into Cities in Ukraine, for no reason whatsoever,” Trump said.
“I’ve always said that he wants ALL of Ukraine, not just a piece of it, and maybe that’s proving to be right, but if he does, it will lead to the downfall of Russia!”
Trump then turned toward Ukraine President Volodymyr Zelensky, who he has repeatedly criticized. Zelensky on Sunday had faulted the silence of the U.S. and other countries in the wake of the latest missile and drone barrage from Russia against his country, an assault that killed a dozen people.
“Likewise, President Zelenskyy is doing his Country no favors by talking the way he does,” Trump said.

You keep posting this nonsense, without ANY proof. Most of the US weapons and soldiers were stationed in Germany, with the US cutting back the numbers after 1991.
We showed we weren't "harmful" to Russia by reducing troop levels.
Russian response, attack its neighbors and seize their land.
The number of U.S. troops stationed in Europe has fluctuated significantly over time, particularly after the end of the Cold War. In 1989, there were 315,225 troops, which decreased to 107,158 by 1995. By 2021, the number had further decreased to 63,853. In 2018, the number bottomed out at around 65,000
It’s not nonsense. It was the impetus as to why Russia was concerned. Russia isn’t stupid about the globalists. He knows they lie. They pile up weapons and say there is nothing to worry and use them suddenly when it can’t be defended against.
He knows, even if you think they are good people. He attended the same globalist leader school they did, so he knows what they are up to. Even if you won’t acknowledge what our leaders do as wrong.
Yes, Russia invaded Ukraine. That’s not debateable. He did it so it couldn’t be used as a weapons depot by our leaders.
You want me to believer our leaders are not up to anything, they shouldn’t be doing anything that represents imperialism, like using countries along Russia’s borders as weapon depots.
You haven’t the slightest idea what you are talking about! Yes they are now attacking civilian targets!
Ditto your globohomopedos
Trump sounds irrational and like his mind is not settled. Sure sounds like Biden and Impeachment around the corner.
When Trump makes Ukraine his war, which it apparently is, he has lost my support. Until then, I see him as Commander-in-Chief of the US and the free world’s NATO. I do not see Zelinski as a rouge against Trump, but rather part of the theater. The west has lost the war. We are damn lucky for without Trump to intervene with Putin last Sept/Oct when Biden’s Crew were logging missiles into Russia that the EU didn’t have smoking craters and NATO getting a dose of reality; the reason for the missiles was Russia had rear areas, but Ukraine’s rear Areas to me extend to the American heartland - if Ukraine is worth a nuclear exchange get back to me.
Oh BTW Second Admendment territory is a DNC talking point for the next round of Trump impeachments.
I’ll tell you once again, Quacky - don’t send me unsolicited pings. Got it?
Reminds me of the famous “Secrets of Fatima.”
“Something’s rotten in Moscow.”
Yeah it seems off from normal operations the last few weeks. Just as if someone else is in charge now.
lol Your cuckoo clock rings twice daily.
Putin’s thirst for power is the most dangerous thing for Russia many fall down stairs and out of windows for a reason when working for him.
That is correct, and what Kellogg cited as targeting civilian infrastructure was in reality the Antonov drone manufacturing plant in Kiev.
Question: Does cold war dinosaur Keith Kellogg not understand the difference, or is he just a deceitful forever war shill?
What normal peace-loving person doesn't? (from canuck_conservative)
Because my wife and I live in a part of a “sanctuary state” that has been one of the primary destinations for recent Russian and Ukrainian arrivals for decades... we have a greater understanding of the two groups than anyone here who would spout such absolute nonsense.
We have many long time friends and associates from both groups and in truth few people who do not have this type of familiarity are completely unable to tell them apart. Just like any other groups of immigrants some of them are good and some of them are not so good. But to make a blanket statement such as this is absolute garbage even if it is intended to be funny.
Canuck_conservative and Vermont Lt... even with the low standards a lot of us have helped set, you two have become an embarrassment to this forum.
You both thoroughly deserve the following award that has been bestowed upon the two of you:
The Euros have been funding Ukraine at a higher level than the US, and have additional very large future monies set aside. The problem is the weapons supply, as Europe’s ability to manufacture weapons greatly atrophied over the last 30+ years AND they disposed of almost all their reserve stocks.
US weapons manufacturing capacity is badly atrophied too, but we had more substantial reserve stocks. Much was near decommissioning anyway*, so, sending it to Ukraine and having Congress fund new replacements made sense — but new stuff always costs more, so we get shorted on quantity in the end, plus replacement falls behind due to that atrophied manufacturing capacity.
*To be fair, also quite a bit of weaponry sent was NOT due for scrapping, so we’ve ended up “short” in some categories and types. But in many others we still have huge reserves of - like F-16’s.
In any event, ramping up new capacity takes time, and evidently nobody even had it as a contingency plan. I recall the 60 Minutes interview of the manager(?) of the Raytheon plant making (I think it was) HIMARS short range rockets. Cranking up production by ~20% was not a problem, and 40% could be done given a little time. Double? Are you kidding? The guy literally said something to the effect of “We’d have to study it.” I nearly passed out.
The Germans, for one, HAVE increased artillery shell production by ~3x. But the problem is that if they really want to put the whammy on Pooty, they need to make that 10x, and to do that they need to cut through the bureaucracy. Maybe this new guy Merz can do it? The money seems to be there.
It would make huge sense for the Euro’s to purchase a couple hundred F-16’s for Ukraine. Training pilots should have started 3 years ago, and, the US can spare the planes. The question is why this hasn’t happened. Cowardice on our part seems to be part of the answer, but, then again, who in Europe has proposed such a thing? We produced around 100 HIMARS launchers last year for delivery to US stocks, which should give us around 600 total. These would not be used in anywhere near such numbers in any likely scenario involving China (mostly an air-sea battle), so, why did Ukraine only get a handful in 2024, instead of, say, 60 purchased by the Euro’s?
Why have the Euro’s not turned to South Korea for arms, as Poland has? Just to not spend money they’ve already set aside? Internal politics?
A last thought: Outside of revenge (a legit but not “complete” reason), Afghanistan was primarily about Iran. So was Iraq, really. But of course few ever discussed THAT.
These two are war cheerleaders. If either one met a Russian soldier they'd run away and hide.
Hate destroys you, and the Russian Derangement Syndrome clouds your reasoning abilities.

MeganC, another rabid Russia-hater, is there as well. Maybe she’ll be back to insult pro-America FReepers and help foreigner canuck drive this site into the ground.
As a supporter of the terrorists disrupting the world you are a disgrace to America.
By supporting Russia, you support Iran, Hamas, Hezbollah and the Houthi
You confuse hate with enlightened wisdom
