Here Are 8 Other Gifts World Leaders Are Giving To America

While the Qatari government's giving President Donald Trump a luxurious, state-of-the-art jet has grabbed headlines, it's actually quite common for foreign governments to send things as special gifts to build relations and curry favor.

The Babylon Bee has obtained the following list of other gifts world leaders have given to America:

  1. Israel — Weather control machine: Finally, someone other than the Jews will be in control of the global climate.

  2. Mexico — A giant wooden horse: It sounds like there are people inside of it speaking Spanish, but that's probably nothing.

  3. Poland — A submarine with a screen door: Guaranteed to be good for at least one use.

  4. Nigeria — A potentially lucrative letter from an exiled prince who needs help: He would reportedly be willing to pay handsomely for any assistance.

  5. India — A herd of sacred cows: Delicious.

  6. Turkey — Turkey: The bird, not the country.

  7. Lebanon — A pallet of brand-new pagers: The Lebanese were apparently afraid to use them.

  8. California — 1 million refugees: A truly generous gift from America's closest foreign neighbor.

Who wouldn't want to be on the receiving end of such great gifts? What other presents should the U.S. expect to get from foreign countries?

i remember when the Soviet Union built a new embassy building for us. It took forever to get all the bugging devices out. Always wondered why State Department couldn’t figure this would be a problem before the first brick was laid and kept agents all over the site.

Because it was agreed that construction would be by local labor. I don’t remember if the agreement was signed during the Ford or Carter administrations.

In Hebrew, the turkey bird is ‘hodu’, as in India, or unambiguously, ‘tarnegol hodu’.
