I don't recommend the Bosch 500 series. It's dumb.
Sadly, it seems all appliance manufacturers are going this route. Where will we be in 5-10 years next time I need to buy a new dishwasher? Probably even worse off.

TSP==TRI SODIUM PHOSPHATE
ONLY PROBLEM===
THERE NO LONGER IS ANY PHOSPHATE in TSP.
FALSE LABELING, IMO.
Not for YOU, for THEM. Like everything these days.
Urine the money, urine the money....
And what if it decides the filter or some part needs replacing and orders one? Does it have a job and a credit card? Cause I ain’t paying.
Unfortunately, the new corporate paradigm is to sell YOU. You are the product. The dishwasher or washing machine is ubiquitous.
Did anyone ever ask WHY your phone needs GPS, multiple cameras and microphones, accelerometers and a compass? It doesn’t need this to be a phone, but the idea was never to sell you a phone, anyway.
#1 - do not buy Whirlpool appliances! I could give lots of examples but one is that the refrigerator stopped making ice at 18 months. Repair guy says “yep that’s a known defect of yer main harness. Parts $ labor $450. Whirlpool stove and dishwasher are just as bad. Dishwasher stopped working at 4 years.
3 months ago bought matching Samsung washer and dryer. But I lucked out because the “matching” pair was an electric washer and a GAS dryer! Lucky because after trying out the washer I will not buy the matching dryer.
Also bought a smart LG oven/stove and it’s too damn smart. We pushed some buttons and it locked us out of the oven. Took me 20 minutes to figure that out.
Did I mention to NOT BUY WHIRLPOOL?!
We have 4 washboards. I have no idea what brand. Probably Lehmans or something. 4 different sizes/Guage or whatever. Came with the hillbilly house wifewashboard.
Pair of muddy jeans gets hit with the water hose outside.
Ditto the fridge. My dad's has been in constant use for half a century, even the gaskets are original and good. My larger one is over 10yo and works fine, it just doesn't do whatever computer models do.
Even my stationary bike doesn't have electronics (second-hand shop model from the sixties). Or my bathroom scale! I can afford nice stuff, but I think the nicest stuff is OLD. Built better, lasts longer.
Samsung’s televisions are pretty good but it is my understanding their kitchen appliances are notoriously unreliable.
I got mine for more than half price half off, I believe. I would buy it again. Our refrigerator was broken and our stove was acting up in sympathy I think and our dishwasher hadn’t worked in a few months. Hubby went to a ding and dent warehouse and bought the refridge, stove, microwave and the guy sold him the dishwasher. Stainless steel inside, but after 4 years everything works wonderfully except the microwave which blew its fuse, we replaced it and it quickly blew again. A group of local teens who take apart things to repair and learn a skill replaced the fuse. No charge.
I much prefer washing dishes by hand. Never owned a dishwasher, never will. Might hire one if I ever get tired of the chore, but would never buy one.
Please expand your tagline area. Sometimes he needs to be known more than Karl Marlantes. Thank you.
I raised a handy man and he lives just down the road. And I can pretty much do my own plumbing. I also have a grandson apprenticing to be a plumber.
Did you see him counting his money as he left?

Why? One minor repair in 25 years? He is not going to get rich off me.
Wash on the short cycle
it cleans well and is only 110 minutes
I swore I would never buy another Bosch product, and I haven’t.
I paid $600 for that pos 20 years ago.
I will be over with my 4runner
Or the cat’s litter box, for crying out loud. I will not add a kitty litter box to my WiFi.
Bad enough I have a robo-vac connected.
