I raised a handy man and he lives just down the road. And I can pretty much do my own plumbing. I also have a grandson apprenticing to be a plumber.

I fell for the front loading Neptune scam from Whirlpool. After making my own handheld drill coupler to the pump so I could drain out the water after the 4th time it died, and removing washed clothes that never got wet, I drove my Ford Front End Loader over the pair, leaving them in a shredded flat scrap-heap. I put them in the back of my pickup truck and dumped them in front of the appliance store.

I was fined $250 for doing so, but it was the best $250 I ever spent.
