I would guess that they taught her all of the “transgender” pronouns though
Teachers Unions.
They are for Teachers, not students.
“If the student failed to learn, then the teacher failed to teach.” - Socrates(?).............
She’s autistic and needs help....
No one failed her for that many years they just didn’t recognize or address or her family was never open to the conversation.
My brother’s son is autistic and a sister’s son has Asperger
...but she’s an expert on climate change and white supremacy.
She got what her parents paid for.
I feel bad or this person. I pulled my daughter out of public school in 4th grade, as the school she was in was pushing her the same direction. When I met with the principal and expressed my concern, he stated they were concerned with the child’s self-esteem more so than their learning.
I asked him how much self-esteem she would have when she couldn’t read or write when she turned 18 and couldn’t get a job. Then we walked out, and I enrolled her in a private Christian school. That was in 1994.
Did anyone catch that UConn accepted her?
omg.
What does that say about UConn?
Her parents failed her. It is THEIR responsibility (per Connecticut State Constitution).
What makes her think that the teachers know how to read and write?
It’s all Trump’s fault.
He cut funding to the Department of Education Last week and fired hundreds of probationary employees!
Just in case

Only one? Come to Massachusetts and you’ll find that none of the graduates in Boston and our other larger towns can’t read their diplomas.
You would think they would care that billions of dollars, that are taken at gun point from the citizens, are wasted by people who can not and have no interest in doing their job but they see absolutely no harm in it.
It is the child's fault, the parents fault, society at large's fault but never the fault of the people who are scamming billions of dollars from the public.
Oh no. Never their fault.
This is a confusing article.
It says that this young woman cannot read and write, but she was able to graduate high school with her class, and attend university.
Which is it?
All K-12 students deserve the help they need to learn to read, write, and figure. They do not need to learn all the politically correct garbage.
And students must have priority over teachers’ unions. There is way too much unionization in education today. Even Harvard graduate students have a labor union! We did just fine without one when I was in Harvard graduate school!
Who failed her? The teachers and the Department of Education.
This article includes some video remarks from her about halfway down. The speech impediment is obvious:
Unbelievable?
This is the public school system they’re talking about here.
I find it fully believable and am actually surprised we don’t hear of more reports like this.
And if the school held her accountable and held her back, they’d be in trouble, too.
And just where were the parents in all this? They didn’t know? I don’t believe that either.
Damned if you do and damned if you don’t.
