I’m near Louisville.
We have about 3 inches already and it’s supposed to change to freezing rain in several hours. Could end up with 1/2 inch of ice and 1/2 foot of snow.🥶.
For us that’s a LOT. We had a 9 inch snow in about 2017 but It was mostly melted by noon the next day. This one will not do that, they are forecasting below freezing temps for about a week.
The last really bad winter we had was 2013 (if I remember correctly).
At least they finally named it so it must be series now. Of course the web cams seem to indicate a skating rink in some locales already.

Over here in southern Ohio we will be getting up to 10 inches of snow.
Just south of here they may get a half inch of ice (and less snow)
The power could be going out and the snow will stick around for days. Schools are already closed for tomorrow.
I am thankful for great grandkids at a time like this. They are thankful I live on top a hill and have several old style roll-up plastic sleds.

Watching the aerial view of the drivers skidding on the ice in kansas city was interesting. We’re all gonna crash..in about 30 seconds.
If the storm has a name, it must be really bad.
So, I checked out the forecast on AccuPanic dot com, and they said we would be getting 1 to 2 inches, and on the same page they said we would be getting 2 to 4 inches.
It’s really cold here in NE Florida this morning. 57 degrees. But fortunately no snow is predicted. 10 day outlook pretty much the same. Overnight lows in the 40s so we’ll throw an extra blanket on the bed. (Gosh, I’m so glad i don’t live in Minnesota anymore.). What’s that storm name again?
