Where’s the beef?
I’ll take a 1 1/2” thick ribeye cooked medium-rare.
I found out something about iron recently that I didn’t know. Your body needs vitamin C in order to absorb the iron in the foods you eat!
So even if you are eating tons of iron rich foods and/or taking iron supplements you may still be iron deficient if you are not getting enough vitamin C to absorb all that iron.
How did I know beef and pork would not be on the list?
Do they explain their beef with chicken thighs?
Actually, RED MEAT is the best protein to eat. Why? Because it has the perfect blend of amino acids our body needs. If the mix of amino acids is wrong, our body builds what it can and ejects most of the leftover.
Red meat is better than white meat which is better than fish, but any animal flesh will beat plant protein. Because we’re not plants!
“Apparent (AD) and true (TD) digestibilities of the EAA fluctuated between 33 and 59% and 60 and 85%, respectively, for black beans. With red beans, these results diminished: 29 and 55% AD and 64 and 81% TD, while for white beans the limits extended: 18 and 57% AD and 36 and 86% TD.”

For a detailed explanation, I recommend “Dr. Peter Ballerstedt - ‘Ruminating on Protein: Plants & Animals’” on YouTube:

Don’t eat too much though as it stresses the kidneys and can cause damage if too much is consumed.
Why ‘Greek’ yogurt?.................
Chicken breast has the highest amount of protein amongst the meats.
Oh, yeah—line up for those soybeans, but no actual meat at all!
I thought Soy was NOT an ideal protein.
I thought it cause estrogen levels to rise in men...and as it were called “Bad” estrogen levels in women.
Flawed list. No red meat.
Thankfully I had a successful hunt this year and now I have a freezer full of free range, grass fed, organic, Elk.
My doctor hates eggs and milk, but luckily gives me a script for rovustatin (sic?) to fight off my “excess cholesterol.”
For a long while my wife would only buy “Egg Beaters” liquid egg whites in a small carton, and skim milk. (that thin blue crap.)
I tossed the statin away, and I ONLY have regular complete eggs — which I have quite a few of each week, and full-fat “Red Cap” milk.
Result? My Evil colesterol DROPPED twenty points — and never was high at all. Ever.
Doc sez, “That can’t be...” (But sez I need the statin, anyway...)
(This is NOT medical advice. Your ass is in your own hands and discretion.)
Vegan crappola. Like slowly dripping commie trash into a political system, this crappola sneaks in under cover of actual protein.
Looks like a list a “Julie” would make. That is almost all chick food.
No beef? No bacon? Get outa here.
What they’re calling “healthy” is entirely subjective and usually without a shred of medical or scientific proof.
What is the SPECIFIC rank of salmon?
It’s hard to take advice on eating protein when the author doesn’t even know what proteins are.
I have a dairy sensitivity, so phooey to this list!
I hope that Trump can lower the price of beef, and even of chicken, turkey, and pork!
