The Uber passenger charged with a hate crime for pepper spraying a Muslim driver in Manhattan is a former sorority girl who was fired from her PR job over the shocking incident.
Manhattan College graduate Jennifer Guilbeault, 23, had just started a promising career at a New York public relations firm when she was caught on dashcam springing forward to spray her rideshare driver in July, horrifying the pal who was with her.
However, her employer, D Pagan Communications in Melville, fired her over the shocking incident. Agency president Debra Pagan confirmed to PR Weekly that Guilbeault had left the firm, without saying when she left.
“We are aware of the actions of this former employee and we don’t condone this behavior,” the company, which specializes in PR for tech companies, said on X in August.
Guilbeault, a native of Northbridge, Mass. earned a bachelor’s degree in public relations, advertising and applied communication at the Bronx university, where she also served as the VP social chair for her sorority, Sigma Delta Tau, according to an online profile.
Glitzy photos posted to the Manhattan College chapter’s social media page show her and her sisters dressing up for formals and celebrating scholarships.

What is her reason for having done this? The woman riding with her didn’t seem to understand it at all.

Nope. Same as if the attacking passenger were black.
Anyway, I’ll bet the woman was quite drunk. And so there’s a lesson to be learned here. Don’t drink more than you can handle, kids. It clouds your judgment.
It does look like that might be the case.
Whatever got hold of her, she has a real mean looking face when she’s angry...
I can offer some insights based on my own Uber experiences. Many Muslim Uber drivers get quite indignant about anyone that has been drinking alcohol.
I have had a few run-ins where Muslim drivers harassed my coworkers, who admittedly were being a little obnoxious and loud. However, being as objective as I think I can be, they were verbally abused by the driver in a way that was over the top about their affront to “Allah” because they were drinking alcohol.
I suppose one could consider pepper spray a form of public relations.

In the video I saw of this incident, the video starts when the woman leans over to pepper spray the driver. I wonder exactly what happened before that, and why we’re not seeing that part.
You’re right about that - a good portion of newly-arrived, South Asian, muslim men will take a very dim view about white women, drunk, out at night, without men, showing skin, etc. etc.. Their own “entitlement” they’ve brought with them from their shithole countries makes them speak or act out. We see this especially in Western Europe
And for her part, this girl, who probably isn’t too smart and carries a lot of her own woke-feminist entitlement, felt privileged to act out as well.

Perhaps the very devout should find another line of work. I think one of the leading reasons people take Ubers is because they’ve been drinking. I’ve used them if I’ve had to drop my car off for service, but a few years back, friends and I would take Ubers to parties or gatherings where there would be booze, knowing that the smart thing to do would be to take an Uber home later.
Never had a Muslim pontificate at us, though.

any way you slice it, the job is a PR job, I’d fire her as it is a “poor reflection of our company’s philosophy”.

Like many Uber drivers, he may be looking for another line of work, but she will be looking for another line of work, and her options are going to be thin.
Further down in the article it says the driver was “starting to pray as he approached an intersection”.
If I’m in a random situation near any Muslim and they for no reason start to pray, my assumption would be they’re about to engage in sudden jihad syndrome.
How could she know if he was ‘starting to pray’?
