The assassin who tried to kill POTUS DJT had skills as evidenced by the grouping of shots he fired from 130 yards or more with an AR. Where did he get these skills and who helped prepare him for this?

I can shoot under 1/2 inch 5 shot group at that distance...probably with iron sights. Definitely with a scope.
130 yards is easy. I’m sure most everyone on this forum can hit something with an AR at 130. It’s not like you need to be a delta sniper to hit someone at 390 feet.

Have they announced what the weapon was? The fact that people in the crowd thought it was a .22 (pop..pop..pop) but he shot a tight group at that range suggests a suppressed high-powered rifle and a guy with some skills.
A shame they killed him. He might have said something like, “I’m a patsy...”
This could be a completely different story tonight if Trump turned his head slightly. I have to think God was watching over him.
I’d guess dead dude wasn’t a pro - he failed to account for the wind, resulting in wild shots that hit attendees more than a yard from his target. Check the movement of the flags to the right of the stage and that of the crane-flag.

Well, 130 yards with a scoped AR isn’t really all that huge of a deal. Actually hitting the target takes some skill, but I can tell you that a LOT of people can do it, with or without military training. 500 yards - now you’re pushing the envelope and it is considerably more complicated at that range.
