Jaws dropped when Dove debuted a three-second Facebook advertisement in which an African-American woman removed her shirt and magically transformed into a white woman. Critics decried that it was reminiscent of racist soap ads from the last century that showed black people scrubbing their skin to become white. Dove removed the clip almost immediately and apologized, saying the post had “missed the mark in representing women of color thoughtfully.”

The real trick is trying to find a commercial in which the actors are not POC.

The TurboTax commercial where two losers, one black and one JewFro owner, are sitting next to each other at a table. The black guy gets coffee, and when he hears how awesome TurboTax is he turns to the JewFro, and spits the coffee in his face. Then he does it again. Imagine if the roles were reversed.
The one that always stuck in my craw was the Nissan Leaf commercial with the polar bear hugging the guy because he drove a Nissan Leaf.

I recently saw a Biden ad where a female doctor laments that she had to go to another state to get an abortion. She claims that under Biden she somehow wouldn’t have needed to go. Totally idiotic.

Not woke but I HATE that commercial where the couple is selling their car and the woman keeps screaming “Hold!”...grrr...seems to be on all the time.

Yeah, I hate that one too! One I think is really clever and funny is the new Heinz commercial where the lady is in the fancy restaurant asks for Heinz because she is part of the Heinz family. The ending is funny!
