PIERRE, S.D. -- South Dakota Gov. Kristi Noem on Monday killed a bill that would have banned transgender women and girls from female sports, then later issued weaker executive orders that include restrictions but which conservatives decried as political face-saving.
Lawmakers in more than 20 states have introduced similar bans this year, with Republican governors in three states -- Arkansas, Tennessee and Mississippi -- signing them into law. A federal court blocked a similar law in Idaho last year.
Noem's partial veto of the bill riled GOP lawmakers and tarnished the Republican governor's status among social conservatives. Shortly after the bill died, the governor, who has emerged as a prominent national figure in the GOP, issued two executive orders for a ban, but Republican lawmakers said the orders amounted to little more than an effort to salvage her reputation with conservatives.

Yea. Me. Kristi looked pretty good as far as “future possibilities” when she first came on the scene. She’s now amongst the long list of disappointments we have in the republican/conservative ranks.
The looks don’t make up for the lack of Conservative, MAGA ideals.

The original GOP bill would have failed a Constitutional challenge so she rightly Vetoed it until they could pen a new bill, which she signed, that didn’t have the Constitutional flaws.

That’s not what she said at the time - she said they would get sued and loose NCAA affiliation for SD schools
The issue belongs to the sportsmen, not the lawyers.
If the woman refused to compete, the issue would have been dead.

I’m surprised they are not running with the unfounded claim that Noem and Lewandowski were bumping uglies.
Any “conservative” who thinks they need the government to protect female athletes should grow up and find a new political shibboleth. The only thing more pathetic than virtue-signaling by the left is this idiocy on the right.

Only because of child-like, jelly-spined city-slickers like you who think a dog that kills livestock should be allowed to carry on.
What's worse? Killing a dog that kills dozens of chickens for fun, or launching a Hellfire missile to kill a "high value target" and a dozen innocent "collateral damage" people who happen to be nearby?
PS - When you take a dog to the pound there is a 99% chance they are going to have to kill it. You think that clears your conscience?
