World's largest electric motorcycle claims a remarkable 450-mile range
New Atlas ^ | March 29, 2024 | By Mike Hanlon

Pitched as a near-future electric touring bike, the Felo TOOZ has a top speed of 125 mph, a hand-of-God mid-range, and a range of 720 kilometers per charge (450 miles). Those numbers suggest it will be one of the largest motorcycles on the road, regardless of engine type, because that's a lot of battery capacity required to go that far on one charge.

The biggest promise the TOOZ makes is high levels of technological connectivity to your phone (AKA life), and the ability to output multimedia through the 12" TFT dashboard with sound via a 6-channel surround sound speaker system.

That laptop-sized screen is also used by the navigation system, and there were no demonstrations available of how the proposed 360-degree view camera system displays.

There's also a Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS), ABS and a traction control system, and if, more likely when it reaches market, no doubt there will be more technological capability on board.

The intention is to make it easy to continue your digital life when on your motorcycle and we expect many of these features to be incorporated into future offerings from Felo and fellow-brand RAPID.

I like rock music, XLCH’s, ‘57 Chevy’s, and my BMW K1300S with its Akrapocic exhaust. This electric “thing” is no substitute for a “real” motorcycle.

I also watched Bronson, when all I had was Honda CB-160!

I miss those days

I was on a Honda 50 Mini-Trail when two guys in a blue and yellow F-4 Phantom II went overhead at maybe 50-100 feet

Blue Angels airshow

Probably at Tinker

Almost bought an XLCR when they first hit the showroom floor. I should have. It would have been among one of my better investments . . . plus a lot of fun. Willy G did well with this one.

I understand it explodes into a beautiful ball of fire, when the batteries have a problem.

The thing I loved about motorcycles before I decided the risk/reward was no longer favorable was the minimalist aspect of motorcycles.

This is not a minimalist motorcycle.

Yes, the article does not mention the weight of the bike.
I suspect it is much heavier than a Honda Goldwing or any 1300CC engine motorcycle.
You better not drop it.

South east Asia is a huge market for motorcycles/scooters. I would think the biggest problem with electric bikes/motorcycles is the ability to charge these things at home. Most homes do NOT have 100-200 amp service like we do in our homes. A 30 amp circuit might be all is available to most people for their entire home.

I still think one of these would be a lot of fun:

https://www.voromotors.com/products/e-ride-pro-ss-19

It replaced this:

https://eridepros.com/product/pro-ss-19/

Then there is this one. Not as fast, but half the price.

I didn't see any mention of weight. It looks like monster and isn't going to be very easily maneuvered in the typical America garage. That's a big deal.

My Triumph Tiger Explorer is a big bike but only weighs 600 pounds. But that EV bike looks like a monster. No thanks.
