Bud Light is staging a comeback with the launch of a flashy new Super Bowl LVIII ad after the beleaguered brand suffered huge sales losses in the wake of its disastrous marking campaign with Dylan Mulvaney.
The beer brand, who is the official beer sponsor of the NFL, released a teaser of the commercial on Thursday which it said will expand its 'Easy to Drink, Easy to Enjoy' platform.
'The brand is back with a humorous spot introducing a new character to the Bud Light universe and some familiar faces from the platforms the brand has been passionate about for years,' said Bud Light parent company Anheuser-Busch.
Based on last year's Super Bowl advertising rates, the 60 second commercial could cost as much as $14 million.
The 12-second long preview starts with a close up on a quilted Bud Light jacket and a man with a mustache wearing sunglasses as Steppenwolf's Magic Carpet Ride plays in the background.

Now that’s funny!
Weak, enhanced with salt?
They could have saved a ton of money and put on a 12 second spot that merely had Sam Elliott say “ To our former loyal customers, we are sorry, we fired her and will never do that stupid stuff again.”
EC
Easy
Shouldnt have used that word...
Hard to forget all the $$$ people put into that company and then to be stabbed with the hiring of some punk ass androgynous freak who tells the world that the ‘fratty losers’ who buy it are out the door and contemptuously honors a man in a dress in a bubble bath when there are hardworking men and women all over America who deserve to be honored.
A N D -— has never apologized. We know who you are AB.
We aren’t dancing with the devil anymore since we showed us who you REALLY are.
Sapporo is such a great beer!!!!!
I hope they don’t sell Bud Light at the game. I just see many cans sold and then deposited onto the field at half time as the crown chants “this Buds for you!”.
Didn’t they do a commercial after the drag queen fiasco and basically mocked the hard working Americans in an attempt to show us ‘we love you’?
Am I misremembering?
Anyway, this is just terrible - they are trying to get the 50 and 60 year olds back on board. Can you see the brainstorming meetings? It would be laughable to see how hateful and misguided they were as they try to target the people they stabbed in the back who are gone forever. I am sure ‘trailer trash’, ‘farmers rolling in the mud wrestling a pig’, ‘pregnant teenagers with cigarettes’ and ‘poor people’ entered the chats.
Never forget. They hate us. They just want your money. They supported an agenda that promotes the disappearance of women with the message, ‘you aren’t needed anymore’.
I used to like Peyton Manning
Now, not so much
Ditto Emmitt Smith
These guys are not going to bring Bud Light up. Bud Light is going to bring them down.
I think that that company has pretty well destroyed the Bud Light brand and that trying to revive it is just throwing money down a rat hole.
I am not a beer drinker but I suspect if someone who is had a favorite brand they would stick with it ..until something like this happens. Then they find a new favorite which they will stick with.
The company has not given anyone a reason to return to Bud Lite, in fact they continue now the path that resulted in thinking BM would be a good idea.
Now if they would put on a spot where they admitted they made a mistake and have taken steps to see it does not happen again and apologize then maybe some would return.
But they can not do that. They are being held hostage to a small but powerful minority and now they find they are between a rock and a hard place.
As an aside, the alphabet people should enjoy this time because it will not last. You have to ask yourself why over 10,000 years of human history the alphabet people have not been assimilated into society but instead been treated as a threat to society?
I heard that they might even have a STRAIGHT WHITE GUY in the ad and not make fun of him, but I realize it might just be my imagination flashing back to when America was, well, America.
Check out the institutional ownership for AB Inbev.
This wasn’t, to their minds, a mistake.
Hopefully this will be the lowest rated Super Bowel in history.
And that the makegoods will set a record, too...
Likewise Given alternate national anthem wall to wall progressive version of US Hard pass
Ashai Super Dry-— it’s ichiban
Ya beat me to it...
Easy going down. /snicker
I was disappointed to see Peyton on a commercial....
I wish they’d go away
