I’m jealous! Publix! Our closest one is quite a hike. I used to get espresso toffee cookies that were addictive.

Espresso toffee cookies? Wow. Those sound like my kind of cookie. Think I’ll see if there’s such an animal in these parts.

I couldn’t find any.....but lots of recipes for them. I love coffee flavored cookies, and ice-cream. Hagen Daaz coffee ice-cream tastes exactly as good as fresh coffee smells. Love it.

Well now I fell downright silly that I never thought of just diluting the dawn. I keep some on hand for greasy messes, but it’s under the sink and I forget. After I wash something three times with the cheap stuff. Then I remember!

Somebody had a recipe on here for cabbage roll soup, can’t remember who, sounds so good to serve the kids this weekend, with homemade bread and apple crisp.

Forgot to add this.

Too bad.

Hate is unhealthy.

Turkish MP Hasan Bismet forcefully denounces Israel saying the Jewish state is suffering the “wrath of Allah”.

Seconds later he collapses with heart attack.

All this talk of giving your fruits and vegetables a bath I honestly don’t know how I have survived as long as I have. Maybe it’s because I ate dirt, tar off of road, played with mercury from thermometer etc. as a child.

When I get ready to eat my fruits/vegies I just give them a quick shower then I peel the outer layer off of my green onions. My lettuce I never shower because I am not going to take the time to pat every leaf dry nor buy one of those contraptions you fling around your head outside to get rid of the water. I just peel several layers off throw them away,
then break up the rest.

You may not want to come eat at my house. :-)

“espresso toffee cookies”

that sounds worth a trip! I was thinking about going to Publix to get some mortadella when I do all my running around in “the city” this week

Nobody wants to come here either. Cadbury helps me cook.

That’s why Dolly is our Island chef!

♥️ I love Publix ♥️

we have one that’s in a very busy congested area about 30 miles away. I sometimes have a medical appointment in that area and always try to go.

There’s no comparison in our area to this new state of the art Publix

This is how you’ve made it so long, Spunky! And you’re sharp as a tack! You’ve probably got a great immune system.

Truth be told, I do about the same. Wash outer leaves, run the fruit under water, peel the green onion. Nobody may want to eat at my house either lol.

My pies are ok though. I do peel the apples lol. Oh, Spunky, you don’t swing those contraptions around your head, silly. The salad spinner is actually a very efficient way of washing the lettuce. I did used to use one of those for romaine and leaf lettuce.

What is kind of scary is that many of the bugs that get into produce these days is not from the outside handling. It’s from the migrant workers using the fields as their washroom. Down into the dirt it goes, gets rained on, up into the plants. You can’t wash that out. Sorry.

Not just water Judy.

Ingredients from the label
What appears on the label: ALCOHOL DENAT., C10-16 ALKYLDIMETHYLAMINE OXIDE, DIPROPYLENE GLYCOL BUTYL ETHER, ETHANOLAMINE, FRAGRANCES, HEXYL ETHOXYLATE, PHENOXYETHANOL, PPG-26, SODIUM CITRATE, SODIUM LAURETH SULFATE, TETRASODIUM GLUTAMATE DIACETATE, WATER. CONTAINS FRAGRANCE ALLERGEN(S).

I found this recipe below and gave it to my DIL who had bought the Dawn Power Spray and she says it works a good as the store bought and it save you LOTS of money.

You will need to save the bottle from the store bought to use.

Pour 13 fl oz (380 ml) of water into an empty container.
Mix in 4 US tbsp (59 ml) of blue Dawn Original Dish Soap.
Add 2 US tbsp (30 ml) of rubbing alcohol. You can include a few drops of essential oil (if desired).
Shake the container to combine the ingredients and the cleaner is ready to use.

Calling all MAGA Trump Train riders who are hearing impaired (or their spouses)

Do you use 312 batteries?

If it goes through with my new hearing aides I won’t need them. I’ll send them to you.

I’ll have enough if two people need them - maybe 3
