Well that little story helps! Dan Bongino recently posted something about loving people from the south. He’s a “Yankee”, NY boy, but he’s been living mostly in the south for years and he wanted to post and tell everyone how different and wonderful the south is....he was sitting at a football game.....perhaps that sad, sad, sad travesty of a football game of which you speak. I was getting the feeling that you were somewhat disappointed in the outcome.
Actually, it was quite heartwarming to read your description of how people conduct themselves in the south, and how helpful and kind they are - that is not the case up here in Canada. Not only would your dad have to open the door for himself, some punks would go out after him and he’d wind up holding the door open for them. Canada (at least what I’ve seen) is definitely Yankee.

What struck me is the expense, the beauty of the White House, the elaborate displays.....then my mind went to that disgusting, filthy, perverted, traitorous bunch of criminals who are occupying the property of the people. Makes me sick to think of it.

And that is the definition of a "damnYankee." Yankees basically are people living north of the Mason-Dixon line. But a damnYankee is someone originally from the north who moves down here AND STAYS!
It is a lot like people from blue states moving to red states and then trying to remake the red into another version of the blue.

So if Bongino is a good guy, a very MAGA American, and stays, but loves the south and doesn’t want it remade into the state he left, is he still a damnYankee? Or does he become grafted in?
This is interesting....I had no idea that Mason-Dixon line was so important. I’ll have to look it up and see where it is. Does this rule go right across the country, east to west? Is southern California, for instance, considered the south or are they still dem country, being California?

Ha! My daughter just spent a small fortune on a pair of those Mukluk boots...her feet are always cold. But whenever I am over there, she’s working around the house in bare feet, so there’s that lol.
Now a hot-wired coat.....like having a portable electric blanket wrapped around you. That would be nice!
