MESA, Ariz. -- An Arizona man called a snake removal company after seeing what he thought were three rattlesnakes lurking in the garage of his Mesa home. He was wrong.
There actually were 20 snakes — five adult western diamondback rattlers and 15 babies. One of the adult snakes also was pregnant.
Snake wrangler Marissa Maki found most of the rattlers coiled around the base of a hot water heater in the unidentified homeowner’s cluttered garage Tuesday.
“That is a lot of snakes. I’m not going to lie. This is crazy,” Maki said in a YouTube video recorded by the company, Rattlesnake Solutions.
The western diamondbacks, with their distinctive triangular-shaped heads, are found throughout the Southwest. And though their venom is far less toxic than other rattlesnake species, they still require care when being handled.

Remind me to never move there. Bears, wolves, coyotes, mt. lions, moose, I can deal with, but bugs and snakes (we have copperheads and rattlers)? Those must die!

She’s got more guts than me. I’m with Harrison Ford about snakes.
In Louisiana we have copperhead snakes & I was bitten by a baby copperhead. Baby venomous snakes do not control their venom release. They let everything they have go. It felt a like a very intense bee sting. When I discovered it was a copperhead snake I went to the local hospital. They gave me 2 shots of anti-venom & I stayed overnight for monitoring purposes.
I later received a bill for 66,600.00 dollars in the mail. UI called them up & said I think you have added a zero to the end of my bill. At their request I read them the amount, and they said no that is correct.
Each anti-venom shot was 33,000.00, and the 1 night stay was 600.00.
Thankfully my insurance covered all but about 2,500.
We also get coyotes, javelinas, bobcats, and mountain lions...I have to defend my dog, and myself for that matter, against attack from these animals at least every few months.
Dog has been to the vet a couple of times after going toe to tow with javelinas, which are the most aggressive of the bunch.
Ouch, and I mean that figuratively and physically.

Technically, that would be a cold water heater...
Do you know the name of the snake that practically RUNS and a third of its body is upright when it is running??

To create the anti-venom a small amount of venom is injected into a horse, sheep, goat etc. They are capable of fighting the venom, because they create the anti-venom to combat the venom. There is a process involved after the anti-venom is collected from the animal used to create it. That involves freeze drying it, and then sera (not sure what that is) is induced to reduce it to powder. It can be stored at room temperature for up to 5 years. It can also be stored for 5 years in liquid form, but is has to be stored at temperatures (<8 degrees Celsius) (or 46 degrees Fahrenheit).
Black mamba does that, and they can move at 12 mph speed.
Growing up in India I have witnessed 2 large cobra’s in a mating dance, on my father’s farm, and they were taller than 3 or 4 feet off the ground.
How about Heat Water Hotter
I should add, snakes are farmers best friends since they get rid of rodents.
Cobra?
I saw a TV show where HUNDREDS of these snakes were RUNNING after 2 sheep.....even up the hills!
Get the skewers and turn on the grill.
No...hundreds were chasing sheep

Like he’ll it is! I think only the Mohajve is worse. Diamondback can be extremely dangerous.
