Bartenders say 'no one wants Bud Light at their event anymore' days after it was dethroned as America's best-selling beer following backlash from partnership with trans influencer Dylan Mulvaney

Bud Light's popularity continues to plummet as both corporate and personal events pivot away from featuring the Anheuser-Busch brand at their gatherings, according to the owner of a pop-up bar business.

Catarina Tucker, the founder of Barnastics - a mobile bartending company based in New Jersey- told Fox News there has been a 'significant shift' away from Bud Light among her clients recently.

In April, the Anheuser-Busch-owned brand became embroiled in controversy over a promotion it did with transgender influencer Dylan Mulvaney.

The company has since lost billions of dollars in market capitalization, and continues to be boycotted by tens of millions of former consumers.

This month, Modelo Especial dethroned Bud Light as the top American beer, as its sales have increased more than 15 percent from the same time a year ago.

The brand has been forced to buy back expired beer from wholesalers, and is contemplating how to deal with the people at every juncture of the sales lifecycle who are experiencing a loss of profits.

Though Tucker said the liquor stores she works with have yet to begin selling Bud Light at a discount, the consumer backlash has been tangible.

'[Demand for Bud Light] has plummeted completely. No one wants it at their event anymore,' she said.

'There are a couple clients that have expressed to me their feelings behind it, and it’s no longer popular.'

She said her customers, and consumers generally, are becoming more aware of whether the brands they support align with their personal and political values.

As a result, people are 'actively seeking alternatives to Bud Light, gravitating towards craft beers, specialty cocktails, and premium spirits.'

Tucker said she does not believe the brand will rebound in popularity any time soon.

I’m thinking - and hoping - this is permanent.

Went to a neighbor’s party last night - 75 people and LOTS of beer drinking, people brought their own or brought it to the party.

Not an A-B product in sight.

Mexico does a few things right: beer and food. Very plentiful and very delicious and also cheap.

Modelo is actually a pretty good beer which is widely available as it is an InBev beer.

Complicated, actually. Modelo is InBev EXCEPT in the U.S.. They sold U.S. rights as part of an anti-trust agreement. It is part of Constellation Brands here.

Even if it wasn’t for the transgender controversy, this is going to result in more choices and range of beers.

It’s mostly water, so it should be discounted on principle.

Just started showing up here in MO shortly before the Bud Light thing. I remember seeing it in MA when I was a teen in the 80s. Company is based in MA though.

It’s not an InBev beer in the US. InBev had to give up distribution in the US to Constellation Brands as part of the InBev Budweiser merger.

Actually, they are boycotting it this, because they say Bud Light backtracked.

Companies hire C-Suite types that have no clue about their product or their customers. It gets old to see organizations do the same thing over and over. It’s about time that stupid starts hurting them.

The Left should be TERRIFIED. Americans have discovered they can PROTEST just by NOT BUYING stuff. And they can do this without whining Liberal SJWs EVER KNOWING. That’s right... just like the ballot box. And NOW... they KNOW IT WORKS. And it worked for Bud... and it worked for Disney... and it worked for Target... and it’s working for Cracker Barrel.
