Bud Light's popularity continues to plummet as both corporate and personal events pivot away from featuring the Anheuser-Busch brand at their gatherings, according to the owner of a pop-up bar business.
Catarina Tucker, the founder of Barnastics - a mobile bartending company based in New Jersey- told Fox News there has been a 'significant shift' away from Bud Light among her clients recently.
In April, the Anheuser-Busch-owned brand became embroiled in controversy over a promotion it did with transgender influencer Dylan Mulvaney.
The company has since lost billions of dollars in market capitalization, and continues to be boycotted by tens of millions of former consumers.
This month, Modelo Especial dethroned Bud Light as the top American beer, as its sales have increased more than 15 percent from the same time a year ago.
The brand has been forced to buy back expired beer from wholesalers, and is contemplating how to deal with the people at every juncture of the sales lifecycle who are experiencing a loss of profits.
Though Tucker said the liquor stores she works with have yet to begin selling Bud Light at a discount, the consumer backlash has been tangible.
'[Demand for Bud Light] has plummeted completely. No one wants it at their event anymore,' she said.
'There are a couple clients that have expressed to me their feelings behind it, and it’s no longer popular.'
She said her customers, and consumers generally, are becoming more aware of whether the brands they support align with their personal and political values.
As a result, people are 'actively seeking alternatives to Bud Light, gravitating towards craft beers, specialty cocktails, and premium spirits.'
Tucker said she does not believe the brand will rebound in popularity any time soon.

I see it discounted. Really big stacks of it.
There so many options for beer that its easy to boycott it (and its not that great of a beer anyways).
It’s not like boycotting the NFL since its the only real option for football fans.
American MSM is trying desperately to hide the carnage, especially since it is hitting regular Bud.
Why haven’t the Alphabet Mafia and all of its supporters stepped up to the plate and made up for the lack of sales? Are they not loyal people, prepared to drink an extra beer or two a day to support the company which took a big chance on them?
The only conclusion to draw is that these people only make demands on everyone, but are not there to back up those who stood up for them. Sounds rather narcissistic to me, but hey, who am I to say. My conclusion would be that there aren’t enough of them to consider important in my marketing, or they’re wishy washy customers who have no appreciation or loyalty. IOW....suckers! Let this be a lesson.
Mark thr price up and send it to Garth Brooks.
He said he would sell it at his bars, no problemo!
Oh, that’s really too bad.
at last...people are speaking up....with their pocketbook...

The fact that Modelo is now the #1 beer in America should demonstrate the depth of the illegal immigration problem we have here in America.
Aren’t trannies flocking to it in droves?
Oh well...

I’d rather have a Zima.
Carlsberg.
Garth Brooks will still buy it.
Was there not some report that they would discontinue the budlight line entirely?
Modelo is actually a pretty good beer which is widely available as it is an InBev beer. IMO it will likely decline in quality while remaining same price. This seems to be the M.O. of InBev.
Yes. That is the understatement of the year.
I never even heard of Modelo until this AB BS.
I wondered if they cut back production of it? Can they respond that quickly to drops in sales by shutting down production lines and repurposing them elsewhere, assuming other brands they make move higher?
“It’s not like boycotting the NFL since its the only real option for football fans.”
not exactly ... NCAA college football is far more interesting and far more exciting than NFL football ...
