Seven tiny, fragile wing-bones discovered at a prehistoric site in northern Israel turn out to have been perforated. They may have served as whistles imitating the calls of predatory birds, Israeli archaeologists reported Friday in Nature Scientific Reports...
One of the flutes was discovered complete, the team says.
They could have been imitating bird calls in order to attract them, as duck hunters do to this day...
Eynan is associated with a Late Stone Age culture, the Natufians, pre-agricultural groups living in Israel and the surrounding region from 15,000 to about 11,700 years ago. They were hunter-gatherers but were among the earliest people to settle down, building the first known stone homes in the region. They also created giant stone “boulder” mortars whose use remains a mystery, may have had shamans, did have dogs, and buried their dead with ceremony.
Excavations at Eynan began in 1955, by a French mission, and continued later from 1996 to 2005 by a joint team from the CRJF and the IAA, directed by François Valla of the Centre Nationale de Recherche Scientifique (CNRS) and Khalaily. In various digs, the archaeologists found the remains of five circular stone homes and a plethora of animal bones, including birds – over 1,100 bird bones. Most turn out to have belonged to migratory waterfowl.

If that’s true, then the fundamentalists who say that the Earth is about 6,000 years old are wrong.
But hey, people have been trying to disprove the Bible for a long time now. So just another date for another object or thing.
I’ll place my faith in the Almighty and His word over our human intellect 10 times out of 10.
Only people who don’t know how to read the Bible think the Earth is 6000 years old. No serious Christian scholar thinks the Earth is 6000 years old.
Was there a date written on it? 🙄
I will do it 11 times out of ten. 😎
I will do it 11 times out of ten. 😎
Date, fig, pomegranate, nectarine, you name it.
🤣
Quick, somebody let that giant tub of pudding, Lizzie, know! She could play them while twerking her rhinoceros ass like she did with John Adams fragile glass flute. If the Israelis deny her that opportunity they are white supremacists!
“ If that’s true, then the fundamentalists who say that the Earth is about 6,000 years old are wrong.”
Why are people so quick to believe that todays scientist are so infallible? They use dating procedures which have show animals that had died only months earlier to be millions of years old. It comes down to whether you are prepared to go with the ideas of a flawed man or the word of a perfect God. Its your decision, God gave you the ability to make it. Just don’t expect any sympathy when standing before your maker he looks at you and says “I never knew you.” What will happen next I would not wish on my worse enemy.
If you turn the flute over and look at the back you will most likely see “Made in China”!
Did they.consult Harris, she’s an expert on flutes.
I agree-serious Christian scholars say intelligent design by the supreme being-God-made it all-and it took a lot longer than 6000 years-that is why those scholars believe the scientific evidence that shows it took millions of years, not just a few thousand-I don’t think He was on human time-what is a year in the eye of God?
The geological and archeological evidence of the flood shows that it did happen-about 11,000+ years ago-not 6000. Humans always add their own take on any book they write-especially the religious ones-the very basic scientific info is there-it has just been added to by humans-it is what people did in the far past-they didn’t really have any natural science to study things then...
I don't think anyone's salvation depends on how old they think the Earth is.
