A Stanford professor who has researched unidentified aerial phenomena for the US government says he believes extraterrestrial intelligence has not only visited earth but “it’s been here a long time and it’s still here”.
Dr Garry Nolan also claimed that whistleblowers who have worked on “reverse-engineering downed craft” had recently given classified testimony to Congress, creating a “hornet’s nest in Washington”.
Dr Nolan, a Professor of Pathology at Stanford University School of Medicine who has published more than 300 research articles and holds 40 US patents, made the bombshell comments during a talk at the Salt iConnections conference in New York on Thursday titled “The Pentagon, Extraterrestrial Intelligence and Crashed UFOs”.
The respected researcher is one of the most accomplished scientists publicly studying the phenomenon, including by analysing the brains of people who say they’ve experienced a UFO encounter.
During the session, moderator Alex Klokus, founder and managing partner of Salt Fund, asked Dr Nolan, “Do you believe that extraterrestrial intelligence has visited planet earth?”
“I think you can go a step further — it hasn’t just visited, it’s been here a long time and it’s still here,” Dr Nolan replied.

“The creation of a whistleblower program specifically that allows people from within who, I’m going to say this, have been working on the reverse-engineering programs, reverse-engineering of objects, so that they can come in and break their oaths but specifically just to talk to Congress and give that information in classified settings.”
He added, “And the most recent one that happened was just last weekend and it created quite a hornet’s nest in Washington.”

First, Nolan said in the video that these beings (if they are real) are not from another star system or somewhere "out there." They are from here on Earth. Even possibly from another dimension that seems to exist parallel to ours, but here on Earth. And they have been here a very long time. Much longer than humans.
Again, this is Nolan speaking, not me.
Secondly, though Nolan didn't say it, other scientists have said, perhaps what we think are crashed UFO's are planted evidence...planted to create a facade--a belief--that what we are dealing with are aliens. Perhaps they are something else entirely.
As some here on FR have suggested, perhaps they are what some have described as spiritual beings--demons or daemons--trying to make us believe they are aliens.
This is just my POV, but it is way too early to know if there is anything one way or another to this matter. Or if there is something to it...what is it?
There is little evidence but an abundance of rabbit holes.
Why is that statement any more credible than Nolan's?
As folks have said, Nolan is a well-known, well-regarded scientist and tenured professor at one of the top medical schools in the world. At that school, he has his own lab, which is one of the top med school labs in the world.
He is a credible person who has made an otherwise incredible statement.
Wouldn't it be just as outrageous to say, without any evidence, that he is lying or that he is confused?
My point is that he might well be lying (I can't imagine his motives for staking his career on such a lie) or he might even be mistaken.
Bottom line: We just don't know at this point in time. But he has stuck his neck out and will presumably either put up or shut up.

Interesting post—a couple of comments.....
The first thing “alien technology” would do is tell scientists that they had a lot to learn—and they better start tossing out the “rules” of establishment science and creating better ones.
Some whistleblowers claim there has been actual alien contact and that the aliens have helped the process along.

Possible explanations:
—The “aliens” are expendable—clones or automatons—for exploration or scientific study purposes only. The smart aliens back home are not going to risk their necks on distant potentially hostile planets.
—The technology and aliens were a “gift” designed to help with reverse engineering by our primitive civilization.
—The aliens are actually from here and live here—hidden by high tech.
—Time travel from the future (mentioned by a previous poster). They are from “here”.

The evidence is the behavior of government. We have seen their deception, manipulation and intimidation of the American people. If you study psychology, especially men who cheat on their wives, the government displays the same pattern of behavior.
We’ve also have some evidence of manufactured materials that have questionable origins. Pieces of metal that’s been made layer by layer, each layer having a different element.
Truth be told, there is little tangible evidence other than little pieces gleaned from crash sites. But, the real problem is the government it’s self. They’ve planted phony evidence, stories, and used to plants to either distract or discredit people.
My personal belief is that it’s demonic. If you look at our culture, people in high places, Hollywood to politicians, you will see a Satanic nature. The WEF wants to use tech to enslave the world. They’ve even said that. All this tech has it’s origins from advanced discoveries in the last century. Tesla repeatedly said he was getting his information from other “beings”.
Anyways, I could write a book about this so I’ll stop. I’ve been following this stuff for over 40 years. I went from believing we were being invaded by aliens to now seeing this as pure demonic. I remember back in the late eighties when retired NY cop said was on a local talk show in Detroit and he said he worried about the future because we will see a rise in Satanism, especially among the elites. I was like, yeah right, but his words have stuck with me through the years and now I’m seeing what he said being played out.

I agree with your analysis.
That is their default approach—create a narrative—push the narrative—increase their power.
In this case compartmentalization has created a situation where I don’t think most government officials have a clue what is going on...some know some pieces but for “national security” reasons they can’t even share those pieces with other government officials.
It gets to be comedy after a while as they to figure out who is allowed in the room for “this meeting” and who needs to be removed for “the next meeting”.
I am reading one book on this topic where the author mocks government officials as he explains if they read his book and then talk about it to each other they could probably be indicted for violating their security oaths—even though his sources for the information were “alien” and not government at all.
Any “civilian” seriously interested in this topic knows far more than any government official who relies solely on official “credible” “legitimate” sources.
It would be a scientific discovery only if science discovered ET through research. Its a social event when they land on the White House lawn. ;-D

How about determining that debris from a crash site was constructed of materials that are not of this Earth? Or finding a dead little green man? After all, even finding a new species of bird is a scientific discovery.

There is a lot of debate about what “Disclosure” means.
Clearly different people have different definitions.
I am comfortable that everything I need to know has already been disclosed to me—of course most of the public has not heard a word of it—or if they have do not believe most of it.
I am also skeptical about how much “the government” (say the WH for example) really knows.
I think I know a lot more than they do.
I am so cynical—I think history is just a pack of narratives of the elites that rule—so “disclosure” at best is usually just the bits and pieces they have decided to release.
Here are some examples of questions they cannot truthfully answer because they don’t have all the facts:
—How many alien races are there who have visited the planet throughout human history?
—How many alien races are on the planet right now?
—What scientific principles have aliens discovered that our standard science has not recognized to date?
—Same question for technologies?
—How often have the aliens interfered with human history—say in the last thousand years, hundred years?
—Do the aliens use some form of time travel? How does it work? What are the constraints? What about viewing the past or future? (same questions)
—How many humans have been kidnapped by aliens in the last hundred years? What criteria did the aliens use to choose their subjects? Was this done with or without the consent of any human government or authority?

One of the things I find disturbing is this talk lately that soon these "aliens" are going to undertake their own disclosure. I presume this means that they are going to make an appearance for the world to see.
I hear the same “rumblings”.
I am very skeptical—for one thing I think there are a bunch of different alien races with different agendas—and if it is true they have maintained secrecy for many thousands of years then it is a hard swallow that “now” they will change tactics.
There are (imho unsubstantiated) claims by some that there is some sort of “Galactic Federation” where such matters are decided.
There could always be a renegade alien race that decides to publicly “out” themselves—but again no evidence (that persuades me) this is the case.
What I am seeing is two tracks—one for those who are interested in the topic (folks like us) where a lot is happening—and the mass public who are being fed lies and nonsense—with no end in sight on that.
From what I hear, their reason for intervening now has to do with the state of our research into nuclear physics and the weaponization of it.
