I received a text message while I was driving home last week. I sent a quick reply while I was at a stoplight, but then received another message. I was near a country club, so I decided to pull into its parking lot rather than text and drive. (I act responsibly every now and then.)
As I texted, I noticed that a young man, who was obviously an employee, drive by in a golf cart. After seeing me, he swung his cart around and parked perhaps 10 feet behind me. He was looking down initially, appearing to type something into his phone. We made eye contact after a few seconds.......
Still seething, I turned around and headed back to the club so that I could confront the manager. I arrived, hurriedly exited my car, and headed towards the entrance. A total of three young men, all of whom were white, were parked in golf carts near the entrance. I was going to rush past them on my mission to give the manager a piece of my mind. I would also tell him (certainly it would be a white man) that I would never consider becoming a member of that club. (It would have been a moot point; I don’t like golf.)
At that point, everything changed.
The young man with whom I had made eye contact said, “Sir, do you need a ride back to the course.” In an instant, I realized that he had not profiled me. Neither had he taken down my license plate number to report me as “suspicious”. He had been merely killing time on his phone while waiting to see if I needed his assistance. I thanked him, and somewhat sheepishly responded that I was heading inside.

One other thing; put the damn cellphone away when you are driving. Don't pull it out until you get to your destination, and even then you may not want to use it if it diverts your attention from the people you are interacting.
If you are white and end up in a all black neighborhood, then you will be profiled (not a big deal ) and treated poorly.......by a very small minority. If you are black in an all white neighborhood, you will be profiled ( not a big deal ) and treated poorly, by a very small minority.
The problem today is the media and our government take these small quantity of examples of poor behavior and make them seem like they are the norm. The margins of society, whether on race or sexuality, or any political issue or whatever are portrayed as the norm.
Once you cut through the crap, most people get along pretty well without a whole lot of help from Washington.
Every six months, my wife’s employer brings in the same black DEI HR advisor to lecture on the latest “wokey-ism”. On her most recent visit, last December, Miss “She/Her” Victim told an anecdote of how she’s constantly “profiled” as a black woman, saying “Every time I go sit at a table in a crowded restaurant, the White ladies see me and then move their purses away from me.”
My blunt, very conservative mixed race wife stopped her cold in her tracks and said “You know, as a woman with a large purse who goes out a lot, it’s just habit for me to move my purse out of the way, to create more space for other people. I feel badly that you’d think that about me.” Of course, the HR toad bristled and moved on.
Her managers are mostly proggies but, because of my wife, the conservatives there have learned to speak up at the Exec meetings. Astonishingly, they are listened to - and only scorned by one snotty lefty, usually behind their backs in true coward form.
Without a Godly transformation, blacks will never get off the " what you looking at , cracka" train.

These are not separate, but all a part of the same plan to destroy and divide this country.
After studying and working for years, many black Americans are obviously middle class or better. But they are annoyed that they don’t get recognition for that achievement. The salt on the wound is when they are lumped together with poor, under-educated blacks, as if they had not spiritually and culturally evolved way beyond them, making all their work for nought.
I knew a young man in the military, whose father was a very senior NCO, and raised him with an iron hand. His speech was precise, street language and cursing was prohibited, and he got the grades he needed to eventually easily get a professional job someday.
He had also become very intolerant of street talking slackers, who he regarded as dragging all black people down.

except you left out that the poor treatment in the black section will involve probable violence; the other section’s poor treatment likely amounts to a lot of side eyeing...
Just went to my daughters Masters degreen ceremony this weekend and was forced to listen to a speaker telling me all about white prejudice and how she proved herself despite it.....
(I say forced, because I didn’t want to miss my daughters recognition and my wife would have flayed me alive.)
I sat and stewed for a bit and then realized just how over it all I am. I looked around - you could tell nearly everyone’s eyes had glazed over having heard the same thing on and on and on for years. There wasn’t anything new in the speech - certainly nothing about the graduates - it was just another oh, poor me, poor us speech that didn’t inspire.
I realized I had worked with a lot of folks like that - they can certainly identify a problem but rare is the one the who can actually fix it or is even willing to try.
Then I got to thinking of one of my favorite quotes from Teddy Roosevelt: “It is not the critic who counts; not the man who points out how the strong man stumbles, or where the doer of deeds could have done them better. The credit belongs to the man who is actually in the arena, whose face is marred by dust and sweat and blood; who strives valiantly; who errs, who comes short again and again, because there is no effort without error and shortcoming; but who does actually strive to do the deeds; who knows great enthusiasms, the great devotions; who spends himself in a worthy cause; who at the best knows in the end the triumph of high achievement, and who at the worst, if he fails, at least fails while daring greatly, so that his place shall never be with those cold and timid souls who neither know victory nor defeat.”
And remember that quote I was calmed and smiled knowing that I can persevere and then celebrated my daughter’s accomplishment that much more.
The author has the wrong focus. The reality is that Black on White violence is greater than the other way around. Black on Black violence is much greater yet. These basic realities should be the author’s concern.
A liberal Democrat judge that lets a Black thug goes free is no friend to justice, America, or to the Black community. The thug will return to his Black neighborhood and prey primarily on Black people.
Justice should be color blind. That it is not, only works to the advantage of Black thugs and to the detriment of honest Black Americans.
It’s the same with ‘the patriarchy’. It’s so easy to convince people that they’re oppressed. People are quick to give excuses and anything they can hide behind, especially if it’s repeated through the media early and often, is used as an excuse when they fail.
Black people are being led to believe cops are out hunting them. If they get pulled over they should be fearing for their lives - ‘white supremacy’ is everywhere!
I recall hearing a female college student, when asked about ‘the patriarchy’ existing, answering, “oh yeah, it’s EVERYWHERE, I JUST WASN’T AWARE OF IT BEFORE COMMING TO __COLLEGE__”.

You need to get out more. All young people see now, is race. The label everyone as either an oppressed group, or an oppressor group. In fact, these young people will even say it is a sign of your racism if you say you are colorblind.
Not trying to be combative, but you couldn’t be more wrong about today’s young people. Another difference is now the young people are mostly biased against “whiteness”.
It’s nice to see this guy admit his mistake. Most people wouldn’t do that. I would suggest that he stop walking around looking for things to be offended by. He would be a lot happier if he judged people by their actions and not their race. Black racism is no better then white racism.
Hopefully, we’ll soon see that Satan has loved dividing us, we’ll repent and turn to God which will unite us more powerfully than ever!
Like others have said, different ethnicities have experienced racism (all different European Americans) as they attempt to dwell in the new land. I had no idea that my Czech family came to Texas and lived in muddy cattle pens offered at shelter by Germans here first. They worked and earned enough to move out and build their future of hope they came here for. Never asking for a handout... God and family were their priority. My grandfather inherited land. There was a decent home on the land so he let a black family live in the house for free. All they had to do was make sure the cows had water. They were part of our growing up and we always loved to bring them food from our holiday table! They were joyful also!!
This story was a good one for everyone as we are so quick to call out our thoughts and others have just mistaken the reason for our comment. Mistaken will be my word for the week!

Tolerance isn’t enough anymore, we must become advocates for things we don’t believe, things that aren’t us, so we become subservient, uncertain about ourselves and our values. It introduces self doubt into the subconscious which turns people into sheep instead of independent advocates for their points of view.
We are losing the culture war and we are seeing our fellow Americans turned against each other through psychological warfare by fascists and extremists motivated power and personal profits. The reason free speech is critical is so different views can be voiced, unpopular or not. Mob justice is not justice, university speech codes, doxing and cancel culture are not helping the so-called voiceless. Far from it.
I agree with some others recently here on FR, I don’t wonder how Nazism or Communism rose to power. We’re seeing the rise of Leftist fascism play out on a much larger scale with a much greater reach through social media. It’s not just the press and Hollywood. These are no longer reasonable and thoughtful people with different points of view. Classic liberalism has been replaced by “progressive” woke extremists.
Humanity lacks the maturity to cope socially with some technological advancements.
A lot of blacks believe everything is about race.
Indeed what isn’t preached at home the democrats and media will take up the slack.
At some point they have to wise up of stay put.
