The Harford County Sheriff’s Office said in a news release that Michael D. Stevens II, 38, stole a privately owned 1986 923-A 5-ton military vehicle from a residence in Bel Air, Maryland. Deputies responded to the scene at around 6:35 p.m. on Friday.
The vehicle was later seen in Bel Air and reportedly entered onto Interstate 95, the statement said.
Eventually, the vehicle came to a stop after arriving in Baltimore, more than 20 miles from Bel Air. Then, police say, the suspect left the vehicle and fled on foot but deputies were able to “safely apprehend” him and bring him to the Harford County Detention Center.

I hope it wasn't badly scratched or anything.
Clearly, this is someone's baby.
Perhaps the owner left the keys in the ignition.

The last time I saw one they didn’t use keys?
Here is a nice fun photo, taking the guys out for a bit of fresh air.
Perhaps DUMBGRUNT meant that ironically. When I was in the Army, we used to chain the steering wheel to the clutch pedal, secured by a key lock on the hardstand in Germany. I do not know who had the spare key, but I never recall a response to an alert being delayed because of a lost key. In the field, we just left them unlocked, since the area was always guarded. The Kaserne had walking guards, but they were thinly distributed, and anyone on the post could have hopped in a truck and driven off. But who the Hell wants a busted down old deuce and a half?

Ohh. A modern one. Yeah.
That’s a great picture.
“According to the Harford County Sheriff’s Office, the suspect had been released from the detention center just before stealing the vehicle.”
When they release him again in a few moments, this white trash methhead career criminal can steal someone else’s vehicle, rob, and maybe manage to kill some folks. Presumably that is how the public wants the judicial system to work.
I take back my last comment. As I recall when we had an alert, Service Battery had at one least truck with bolt cutters and jumper cables go around to every truck on the hardstand before we sortied. I do not recall any chains being cut, but they were ready. Also, Army vehicles had sockets for jumper cables, and Service Battery’s (d/b/a Circus Battery) courtesy car had the matching cable.
I can’t remember, do you add them up?, mean?, median?, mode?, Range????
Are those good numbers?
Do you grade on a curve? The stairs?
especially if they are a person of color.
I can state with certainty that there ain’t a key. Hey Bobby you got the key? No, I thought Animal Mother had it or Eight Ball. No I ain’t got it, who has it? Ha!
Well at least it wasn’t 6 ton as that woulda been going just waY too far

OH CRAP!
Another gov cash transfer program.
Is there no end!
That said, I doubt a USB cable will do the trick for a 5-ton?
I do not know about the new and improved stuff, but it was not unusual for FNGs to lack the ability to push in the clutch and starter at the same time, and need remedial training. Provided at MAXIMUM VOLUME with emphasis.
Simple average.
The judges are saying the interstate move was impressive. However, he did not throw a live alligator through a drivethru window which hurt his score.
