A good friend of ours used to work down the hall from Jerry at WLW, She said he was a really nice man.
Jerry Springer was on around Mid-Day, it was really funny, a bunch of people screwing around on each other in any kind of situation you can imagine, egged on to fight by the audience which they often did.

Memory Eternal!
I hope he knew Christ before he passed.
Arguably he tried to reverse that with a Judge Judy-type show.
I admit to occasionally watching his show. As you stated, it was hilarious.
One thing that could be said about Jerry: He never took himself or his show too seriously. He admitted that the show was silly. Unlike Maury Povich or Geraldo, who took themselves very seriously.
His family and friends have my sympathy. Pretty long life!
I saw the show a few times and got a laugh out of it. The two parties would walk out of different doors and just run over and start girl-fighting each other. Ding ding!
I was doing some service work at an assisted living facility and and asked the lady who ran it what time would be best to do some aspect of the work. She laughed and said the residents were all very God fearing people but would all be in their apartments at whatever time watching Jerry. And she was right!
Not sure why they haven’t found a cure by now.
Too many types, too many causes...................
There is no argument. The people on the show were awful, the spectators were the scum of the earth and the host was the evil leading the dance.
Mom died of pancreatic cancer. It’s a terrible cancer and wish they’d put a quarter of $$ into research as they do AIDS. I fear every day it will get me, too.
Pancreatic cancer.
It’s like watching a train wreck or car crash you know you shouldn’t do it but you can’t turn away, the only serious question is does the Springer show represent 1% or more of the American people because if it represents a sizable minority then we are doomed as a society because that show is nothing but human debris
One of the pioneers of what I call “negative IQ television” - you lose IQ point by watching. The “bounced check legend” here in the Cincy area.

TV is scum “programming” in general.
But this was his attempt to impose a stronger moral message than what he’d sold out for for a couple of decades previously.
And the vast majority are of of course preventable although for whatever reason that must be one of the least known medical facts of our time,
If you were EVER invited to appear on his show, you may as well start the divorce proceedings.
Pancreatic Cancer. Not the jab. Read the article.
