I watch a lot of TV. Have said so several times over the years. I enjoy it so don't throw rocks at me. Watch most all the cop shows and some off the wall stuff. And one of the off the wall shows is Quantum Leap.
I have not watched one news program (local or national) since early in the election day when Trump was not allowed to win. Got off FR too for a couple long years but finally came back a few months ago. I'm saying this because I have never heard the term non-binary. Ran across it when I did a search on one of the characters in Quantum Leap called Ian. He/it/she always was dressed in a neutral manner. But always had a male drift. I decided to track this actor(ess) down and there lo and behold I first saw the term non-binary.
I also/then did a search on FR and saw several articles that had been posted covering non-binary this and that. He/it is a non-binary actor(ess).
And then AND THEN!!!!!!!!! there is an upcoming episode of Quantum Leap written, directed and has a role in an episode by a another non-binary something. Do a search on Quantum Leap and poke around and go beserk.
I don't know how to address a non-binary thing. What does non-binary mean? I'M NOT ONE OF THOSE?????
Last item, when in the world did hospitals start using the term "assign" when filling out a birth certificate? The term is near meaningless. It implies that 5 minutes after an assignment is made another assignment of something (an alligator) else can be made.
To that end some words can be taken literally................. Remember...ITS A GIRL or ITS A BOY. Lets take the first word apart "its". It stands for IT IS. And there is the most real and absolute word there is ,,,, IS IS IS. The term "assign" has no meaning or life when something IS!!!! All the last thousand years when someone say "It's a girl" That is an absolute! Not a meaningless "assign". Take a breath.
And now I'm going to watch that episode of Quantum Leap and not throw a brick thru the TV. I record all the TV I watch.

I purposefully do not keep track, keep up to date with all the current insanity, so as to better protect my own sanity. Many years ago, when paperwork, forms, etc started having more than two genders, I started adding ‘please’ to the choices for sex on the forms. Most people laughed. Those that did not laugh, well, I gave them a wide berth at all times.

There is sexual dimorphism among mammals. A fact of nature. Reproduction is sexual, or binary. There is no way around this fact.
So all mammals are binary, There are no exceptions. Those who don’t do sex the normal way are still binary. No one is non-binary. Apparently they mean “homosexual” when they say “non-binary.”
It’s that “male and female He created them” thing that they hate so much.

You just need to say you're nonbinary. And maybe dress a bit fey on occasion if you're a man. Maybe dress a bit butch on occasion if you're a woman.
I suppose if I were young and applying to the Ivy League, or for a Wall Street job, I might claim nonbinary status. It would be a low-cost way of improving my chances of getting in.
