The 'vaccine' uses the same technology as the company's flagship Covid jab and is designed for people weeks or months after a heart attack to help them recover.

It works by instructing human heart cells to generate a hormone that is known to improve blood flow, helping restore damaged heart muscles.

Relaxin is thought to help induce cervical ripening during pregnancy in preparation for delivery. It's also been speculated that it may play a role in spontaneous coronary dissection - which can occur in the context of pregnancy/post-partum period. Anyway, I would guess they think this is going to help diastolic dysfunction, but it's a bold step.
