Hundreds of Portland residents have flocked to a whimsical new magical mushroom store that has opened in the city - despite being totally illegal.
The upmarket mushroom shop, called Shroom House, appeared in the city even though selling products containing psilocybin - the hallucinogenic ingredient in magic mushrooms - remains illegal in Oregon.
The illicit business looks like a regular store and has a sign attached to its façade depicting a mushroom that also looks like a house. The same distinctive logo is plastered on its glass windows, with its arrival sparking fears that Portland's record-murder rate and soaring violent crime problems will spike further.
In November 2020 Oregon passed Measure 109 - a bill that would legalize the controlled therapeutic use of psilocybin mushrooms. However, that bill does not legalize their sale.
When challenged about the legality of the business, the store owner told local news channel KOIN 'they're not a dispensary, they're a health and wellness shop.'

Yet another reason for a national divorce. The democrat side is a bunch of drug riddled hippies. They should have zero say over my life and thus should not be able to vote for a government that has power over me.
Not a store. A 2nd Amendment Dispensary.

I dont understand what they are complaining about, these are the actions that they have wanted/allowed to transpire for generations.

Soon Portland will look just like Philadelphia, filled with trash, drug addicts and homeless. This is the “Wokeness of American” as the country falls. The world must be perplexed at how fast our fall as a nation is going.

Before Canada legalized marijuana, it was largely a person-person sized business and many dealers grew their pot for personal sales.
Once it became legal, right to the minute, there were acreage size grow up operations being built. You don’t build these gigantic marijuana farms, without there being some serious money involved in building them. That money to build the acreage sized grow-ops came from Big Pharma and other Big Corp.
By having Big Pharma and Big Corp involved, the small time dealer found his business dropped significantly.
Once the US legalizes marijuana nationally, it will happen in America as well. Big Corp and Big Pharma are just waiting with bags of money for it to be legalized and they will start building those acreage sized grow-ops as well.
There won’t be a place for the individual grower.

I knew it wasn’t going to be long before all the “wokes” and “wokettes” in Portland would go the Alice in Wonderland route. This country is in big trouble. The Mexicans might want to stay home.

Actually there is a lot of medical research going on about certain psychedelics and mood disorders. It is being g used off brand so tospeak by numerous individuals, is evidently more effective than the saris in microdoses, with less side effects. The psychedelics are fou d to provide a panacea to depressive mood disorders with the effects lasting weeks and sometimes months.
I believe everyone has the incorrect take on this idiocy.
