MEDFORD, Ore. — A 75-year-old woman was arrested early Saturday morning after leading police on a high-speed chase on Interstate 5 from Merlin to Ashland.
Josephine County Sheriff's Office deputies clocked the car traveling at 112 mph on the interstate near Merlin just before midnight Friday. The driver failed to stop when deputies sounded their sirens, and when the woman passed into Jackson County, the Jackson County Sheriff's Office took over the chase.
During the pursuit, police spiked the woman's tires at least seven times, but she kept going, according to a post on the JCSO Facebook page. The woman drove without tires from Central Point to exit 14 in Ashland. At that point, police used a Pursuit Intervention Technique to stop the vehicle.

Hillary Clinton is A 75 years old. And she is by nature reckless. So I’ve got to ask. Did this lady have an unsecured internet server in her car? And did she threaten to Arkanside all the arresting officers?
If so, the cops just might have bagged Lady H herself!
Plenty o peeps drive without a license....
Motor vehicle laws are not nearly as strictly enforced as The Laws of Physics.
And illegals get off scott free for doing the same thing.
And everybody’s sayin’ that there’s nobody meaner
Than the little old lady from Pasadena
She drives real fast and she drives real hard
She’s the terror of Colorado Boulevard
It’s the little old lady from Pasadena
If you see her on the street don’t try to choose her
(Go Granny, Go Granny, Go Granny, Go)
My Maserati does 185
They took my license, So now I don’t drive
Go granny go granny go granny go
We were in Germany last week and we were trying to keep costs down, so we rented the cheapest crapbox they had with a 1.0L 3 Cylinder. $250 for 7 days.
Show up at the rental place in Stuttgart, and they don’t have any crapboxes. All they had left was Tesla Model Y’s and 3’s.
So we took the Model 3. Dual Motor. 480 HP.
Having now put over 1,200 miles on a Tesla Model 3 (for $306 dollars total, including taxes, 2 driver, Mulicountry and Supercharging) Driving 80% Autobahn, Anyone driving a Tesla wouldn’t know if they were going 65mph or a 130 mph, other than stuff is flying at you 2X as fast, and your Battery % at your destination drop into the red.
Good thing Teslas are all driven by Indian Doctor’s Wives.
112 mph in a Modern Car is about 75 mph in a car from only 20 years ago.
Was it 112mph in a clapped out pickup or 112 mph in Paul Pelosi’s Panamera?
The sheriff’s office did not immediately release the woman’s name, but it starts with “P” and ends with “i”.
NHRA now has a class for electric cars. I can’t imagine many people going to a drag race with no noise.
I’ve seen electric motorcycles race at Indianapolis as a support event for the MotoGP. They are weirdly quiet. Maybe kids in the future will get into this, but for us old folks it’s pretty lame.
At that point, police used a Pursuit Intervention Technique to stop the vehicle.
What pray tell is a pursuit intervention technique?
Stopped via wifi?
I forget if it was a Bad Sam or early Seinfeld joke about the elderly should be the ones speeding because they had the least amount of time left on earth, while teenagers should be the most cautious as they had the most time left. Pretty true that!
I lost interest when the NHRA shortened up to 1000 feet for the nitro classes
Before they started putting low profile tires on all the cars, driving like that on wheels only would be difficult or impossible.

Here’s one that has potential ^
This one has the LA TV station tech that gives the intersections that pass by, the perp’s vehicle speed and some helicopter orientation details in 3 graphic overlays.
Pretty amazing. Apparently a frequent event.
I was gonna ask if maybe this happened in Pasadena.......
