I can’t believe they’re sending her home under the circumstances. She should be monitored after such a procedure. Is there another vet or pet emergency hospital where you can take her today? I would be panicking at this point.

I called my friend whose dog had high liver count about a month ago.
They gave the dog Denamarin and she says it is working.

Never have marinated it, but I might try that. You are correct about the salt.
When my boy cat was in the hospital several weeks ago, he didn’t eat or poop for the whole time, either. On that Friday night, he had just had a catheter put in after being unblocked that morning, so I could understand when the vet told me he hadn’t eaten. Saturday afternoon the vet said he was improving, so we could come visit him. When we did, he still hadn’t eaten, and I couldn’t get him to eat, either. He looked miserable, and we stayed for about 40 minutes. Sunday night he was discharged, and since he still hadn’t eaten, they sent an appetite stimulant home, along with his pain med and the one to relax his urethra. And I figured he needed a crate set up, but told them we’d done that when we got there, but they said, No, he doesn’t need a crate - just let him do whatever he wants to do, and have his normal life waiting for him! And once he got home to his familiar surroundings, his appetite returned and hasn’t faltered, even with the new diet he has to be on.

I’ve tried deep-fried liver strips, too.
They always seemed a bit chewy to me.
My sister has had 2 eye surgeries, one was pre-PlanDemic, and they had her shower with special soap.
