I'm not rooting for Putin. My views are nuanced. I believe:

1. The Ukrainian people suffered a terrible genocide in the 1930s. Seven to 11 million killed in an artificial famine. The word "Holocaust" would not be over-the-top.

I feel sympathy for them. I've donated money to Catholic charities offering humanitarian aid to Ukrainians in Ukraine.

2. Ukraine is a corrupt oligarchy. Russian oligarchs are bad. Ukrainian oligarchs are worse. Rapacious vultures who care nothing for the people.

3. Putin is a thug. But Zelensky is a worse thug. Putin at least cares about a strong, viable Russia. Zelensky serves his only oligarch handlers (who've paid him very nicely; he's a billionaire now), and cares nothing for Ukraine or its people.

4. Russia is no Christian utopia, but Western culture is a sewage pit. And the Neocon Globalists (and their puppets like Zelensky) are promoting trannies and Third World migrants in every country they get their hooks into.

5. The American Neocon Globalists pushed for this war.

a. First by expanding NATO in the 1990s.

b. Then by instigating the 2014 Color Revolution that put Zelensky's faction in power.

c. Then by encouraging Ukraine to shell Russian civilians in eastern Ukraine.

d. Finally, when Zelensky was ready to deal with Putin before the war, the Neocons urged Zelensky to stand tough, promising American support.

6. This war is not in our interest. We should not fund it. However, humanitarian aid to (for once legitimate) war refugees would be appropriate.

7. It's in all common people's interest that the fighting and killing stop. A continuation of fighting will only benefit arms merchants, oligarchs, and corrupt politicians.

Fact is all we see happening in Ukraine was easily predicted and warned about by many US and International Leaders for years.... And now what we see is Ukraine continue to diminish, their military and people dying in the streets.

Yes, many are actually ARE rooting for Putin. Some have written that the United States is a more corrupt country than Russia, others that “we are not the good guys” right on this forum. These are simply facts that cannot be ignored.

Also, I am not “asking for someone else.” A poster asked why Scott Ritter was rooting for Russia. I asked why a large number of posters here are also rooting for Russia. I listed them in that response. AAABEST called me a coward for not pinging them. So I did. Then he called me a twatbag. Such a pleasant bunch those Putineers!

First, it isn’t “rooting” and anyone who uses that kind of terminology isn’t very serious.

NONE, and I repeat, NONE of the propaganda in the US/UK media is anything but propaganda. The zones Putin wants are historically Russian-dominated territory. It’s like all the other geographical battles from Alsace-Lorraine to Sudetenland. If these were not arbitrarily included in some imposed treaties, they wouldn’t become hot spots.

Second, Ukraine is the single most corrupt country in Europe, and it is clear to me that the support from Soros, the Bushes, the elites across the board comes for one reason only: their money laundering source is in trouble.

Third, Putin represents nationalism vs. the globalism of Soros, Macron, the EU, and so on. When you look at the Ukes’ allies, they are NOT people we need to be associated with.

So, I support Putin against globalism. I support Trump against globalism. I support Netayahu against globalism. I support Bolsonaro against globalism.
