EV runs out of juice, pushed by coal miners
DC tourist ran out of battery in the middle of a remote West Virginia road on Friday, near a coal mine on Mettiki Coal access road U.S. 48, a few miles outside of Davis, according to WTRF.
From FaceBook:
Randy Smith on Friday Some days are just better than others. Today at our mine off Corridor H an electric car from DC ran out of battery at the road entrance to the mine. Someone called one of our foreman and told him a car was broke down in the middle of our haul road. He went to investigate and found out they had indeed ran out of juice coming from DC to Davis for a get away weekend. He then went back to the mine and got guys to push the car to the guard shack so they could plug in to charge. ... See more

I’d reach out to a local rep. They will at least make a phone call.
We had also called the insurance company and pointed out that the hospital said they got the insurance payment. In my mind that meant holding on to our refund was insurance fraud. We know the insurance company called the hospital on our behalf because they called back and told us so.

I have no clue where to start reaching out. I didn’t have this insurance when I got here, and was only covered by Medicare at the time, but because my income is so low, I shouldn’t have paid more than $3.70 a pop until January when it went to $3.90.
But try to explain it to Walgreen’s. Nope. Not gonna happen.

But when they told me they had a backlog of refunds to process I had to wonder say "So you mean you have a pattern of deliberately overcharging the vulnerable and deliberately delaying refunds? That sounds like RICO territory to me. Let me pass that on to the AG and my congress critters (who desperately need a campaign issue)"...

Yeah, and it won’t be better until the fat lady sings. Wherever she is.

I’m going to listen to an uplifting talk and then sort my pills so I have it out of the way whenever FS decides to show up. He hasn’t given me a timeframe, yet.

There is no female soloist of robust build currently in my habitat. Only males of various dimensions, all of them resulting in my really wanting to cry a lot and then run away to ... well, that’s the problem.

Yes, I get that, and I wholeheartedly agree with the wanting to cry a lot and run away. *sigh*

Thanks! Now all I have to do is try to compose a letter that sounds somewhat sane and composed. Not a small feat.
But I’ll get it done. ;o]
