Researchers at UCLA found that climate change is doubling the chances of biblical flooding to occur in California With every degree the Earth is warming, scientists say, the odds and size of the state's next megaflood 'is bigger in almost every respect'
The scientists found that an extreme monthlong storm could bring several feet of rain to hundreds of miles of California Some cities may even experience more than 100 inches of rain, displacing 5 to 10 million people and cutting off the state's freeways for weeks or even a month The flood could cause $1 trillion in damages, and the economic effects of it would be felt worldwide
Climate change is putting Californians at risk of a massive flood that would cost $1 trillion in damage, displace millions of residents and submerge parts of Los Angeles and Sacramento, according to a new study.
Researchers with University of California Los Angeles found that climate change is doubling the chances of biblical flooding to occur in The Golden State.
And with each degree the Earth is warming, the odds and size of the next megaflood 'is bigger in almost every respect,' Daniel Swain, a UCLA climate scientist and co-author of the study, said in a statement.
'There's more rain overall, more intense rainfall on an hourly basis and stronger winds,' he said.
In fact, the UCLA scientists found, an extreme monthlong storm — like the one that drowned Sacramento and inundated modern Los Angeles in 1862 — could bring several feet of rain to hundreds of miles of California.

The feeding at the trough by climate scientists is BIBLICAL!
Obvious solution is to tax citizens into oblivion, while enriching government officials and “scientific experts”.
Duh!
So there was climate change going on in 1862?

My exact thought as well when I read that.
Interesting how atheists refer to the Bible to bolster their lies.
“Experts warn California of a $1TRILLION disaster...”
And the only way to stop it is to spend $10 trillion.
Regarding CA, isn’t this a feature and not a bug?
California is mostly desert as are Nevada and Arizona.
There is no climate change. The western drought is merely return to the desert dryness mean. In the recent past, California wetness is anomaly and return to desertification is normalization.
There have always been periods of flooding in the Death Valley. The extensive salt flats are the result of the eons of salts precipitated by the evaporating water.
that proved to be dead wrong!”

True. And still, CNN and MSLSD call upon them for their in-depth opinion on everything from climate change to the laws Trump "obviously" violated. I truly believe the “experts” will be the main cause of the destruction of our nation. For they are the ones who call for the most decadent members of society to be elevated and worshiped.

And be sure to divert public funds from desperately needed projects to unworkable nonsense.
Less money for VA hospitals. More money for unicorn-powered windmills.
I know folks around here complain that there are no proposed solutions.
I have a solution to the “expert” problem.
Nobody can be declared an “expert” until they have spent five years in hard agricultural labor.
The Chinese called it the “Cultural Revolution”.
It won’t be flooding, it won’t be rain or fires or any of that. One day it will be a massive fault correction that knifes off a significant portion of the coastline into the Pacific Ocean. And then, California’s ‘beaches’ will be massive Rocky Mountain cliffs peering over the ocean....
Biblical - - -
Didn’t God say he would not destroy the earth with flooding again.
With the [7-color] rainbow as a promise.
He didn’t say there wouldn’t be a few storms, I guess.
But they aren't.
Somebody better tell Al Gore to start sandbagging his seaside California mansion and get valuables moved to higher ground
An Incredible 45-Day Storm Turned California Into a 300-Mile-Long Sea… and It Could Happen Again
Wait a minute. I thought climate change was drying up all the reservoirs and lakes. Is it possible for climate change to inundate large sections of the state while simultaneously causing the same area’s greatest ever climate changed induced drought?
If my math is correct, doesn't 2 x 0 = 0?
OK.
They write it like it’s a bad thing??
You see, people? You all told me that Arizona ocean front property I bought was worthless! Who is laughing now?
Actually, the central California aquifer could use a recharge.
