Just curious, has anyone obtained religious exemption as a DoD contractor working on a military base?

They’re discharging service members who refuse to get vaxxed for religious reasons. Why do you think you’ll get a waiver as a contractor?

I don’t know of any ... but the government was forced to discontinue (at least for the time being) the mandate penalty ... my command halted all investigations and exemption processing but they will surely pick it back up if the court case ever gets to the USSC and they rule badly.

I’m a private contractor and proposed on a job at a federal government site (not a military base though). The gal said that I didn’t need the vax as the bid was under $500k (or some large amount).

Was working for DOD contracter, i retired. Was not possible to get an exemption

@ 21twelve the contract is bigger than 500k for sure...see how the exemption will work out. I filled out the form that I don’t have the coofid “vaccine”

I work for DoD contractor and got a religious exemption last year. I submitted a simple letter (not from a religious leader) from myself stating that the vaccines were against my closely held religious beliefs and that I could not in good conscience take these shots.

Didn't get into any detail. Didn't submit any Bible verses. No cut and paste from the Internet.

I also stated that I have been a loyal employee for "x" number of years, with nothing but outstanding or commendable PAR's and wished to finish out my career with said company.

I got a simple letter back stating that I was now exempt.

Because of Supreme Court decisions like US vs Ballard and US vs Seeger for a religious exemption. Rather simple.

Military must follow orders, so yeah they are screwed.
